Beth Knight (zazaknittycat) | 501 comments My goal is to read 100 books in 2010

message 2: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Good luck to you Beth! I hope you make it. Do you have it planned out or are you gonna take it as it comes?

message 3: by Beth (new)

Beth Knight (zazaknittycat) | 501 comments I could never stick to a set list of books to read so I'm going to take it as it comes. I had the same goal for 2009 and I'm about to finish my 90th book today. I missed it by 10 books so I'm determined to do it in 2010!

message 4: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Hehe I missed it by more than that! But I'm hoping to at least read more in '10 than I did in '09.

message 5: by Beth (new)

Beth Knight (zazaknittycat) | 501 comments I'm trying not to feel too bad about not making it but I looked back in my book journal and found that I only read 64 in 2008 so I figure I did make an improvement, lol!

message 6: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Yeah, I think as long as you keep improving, you really can't ask for much more from yourself.

One goal I have for 2010 is to spend much less time on GR. As much as I enjoy it, it really cuts into my reading time.

message 7: by Beth (new)

Beth Knight (zazaknittycat) | 501 comments I know exactly what you mean. I have the same problem with Facebook. If I had spent less time on FB I would have reached my goal.

message 8: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments I agree with you two...I need to get off from here and facebook. Then maybe I would reach my goals...LOL

message 9: by Liz (new)

Liz You can do it Beth! I should probably also spend less time on GR and facebook, although I hate to admit it.

message 10: by Beth (new)

Beth Knight (zazaknittycat) | 501 comments I get told all the time by my family that all I do is sit on GR and FB. My husband calls me GoodFace, putting together GR and FB. Some people, lol!

message 11: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Yeah, mine was talking with me about it last night. I told him I realize that it needs to be addressed - and the new year just seems like a good time to do it. You know what they say - kids, marriages and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get. I really do believe that and I need to put my actions behind my words.

Good luck Beth, Lisa, Liz, and everyone! You can do it! :)

message 12: by Beth (new)

Beth Knight (zazaknittycat) | 501 comments Thank you, Laura. I know you can do it, too. I'm really going to try cutting down the amount of time I spend on Facebook, which I'm sure David will greatly appreciate! It's almost 10:30am and I haven't been on FB yet today. I'm going to see how long I can wait, lol!

You finished Little Bee/ What did you think. I found it to be such an unexpected book. Just constantly surprising and incredibly touching.

Beth Knight (zazaknittycat) | 501 comments Hi Monef! I finished Little Bee yesterday and loved it. I got more specific about what I thought in the "What are you reading thread".
