Has anyone read "The Crimson Pedal and the White" ? It looks like something I might want to try but wanted to get another opinion first.

I read it. Rather cheesy pseudo-Victorian story, but it was still pretty fun, as I recall. I also recall thinking that it should be a lot racier than it was.
Read it. Loved it. I thought Faber was very honest with what he attempting and pulled it off brilliantly. Personally, I found it pretty racy, but maybe I'm just a prude.
One of the few books that I did not finish. But in all honesty I couldn't tell you why. So I wouldn't put too much stock in my lack of perseverance.
