Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion
Introduce Yourself!
Hello, my name is Eva Gould. I am a self-published author, and proud of it. My book is called The Scarlet Sash, please feel free to check it out.I love reading, I've always used it as an escape whenever I needed a break or a vacation. Wonderful!
Truthful, Authentic and Inspiring. Thats what my memoir is.
Question #6 in an Interview about my book.
6. Is there a message in your memoir that you would like readers to grasp?
Yes. Most definitely. The message being that our attitude plays a huge role when crisis hit. Also I would like the reader to understand how much our faith and dependence on God will strengthen us. Also to be unafraid to share our sorrow, disappointment and pain with our creator.

Hey Monica, i'm sorry for mislead you, well atleast Cilea did, she only replied to her comment not mine, sort of. Anyways it's quite confusing but what you replied to was basicly her message so I havn't been published, nor am I trying to, Cilea is though so be sure to check her out :D
Oh, so sorry! I wondered why the author's name for Jilly Bean was different! This is what I get for jumping in and out of conversations. I can't follow constantly, so get a little lost. Everyone, please forgive me. (I did check out Cilea's book on Amazon and "liked" it for her.)
Hi, Jill, Love your name! (O'Bones). With a name like that, you MUST write paranormal. If you ever decide to check out an historical romance, please take a gander at Threads of Betrayal on Amazon. (Kindle book.) I'm currently working on the paperback thru Createspace. How was your experience with them? I just sent in my corrections for the internal text. Egads! Can't believe I missed so many mistakes!
TY, paranormal is one of the genres I dabble in.I had a good experience with Createspace, (use all free options). It was pretty simple and straight forward. And the two copies I got for myself were well done and only took a week to get here. Very suprising!
I'm sure I have a few more mistakes in my book, I don't think its possible for any one person can catch them all.
I'll put your book on my to-read list.
Jill

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fall-Grace-Ho...David MenonHi!
I'm David, I'm 50, I live mainly in Paris but spend an unhealthy amount of time on the northwest of England,I consider the voice and poetry of the American singer/songwriter Stevie Nicks to be the voice of my inner soul, I'm on the progressive left of politics and take a great interest in international affairs.
Above you'll find the link to my novel 'Fall from Grace' - a contemporary crime thriller with a 'Downton Abbey' twist that is the first in a series featuring my fictional Manchester DCI, Sara Hoyland. In it she has to investigate a crime dating back to 1940 but which has very profound implications for those living todayand for our history of the second world war.
the second in the series, 'Beautiful Child' is also now available as an ebook and tells a very dark story of contemporary murder linked to a church that used to send children as migrants to Australia, often after having told them a pack of lies about what had happened to thier parents, back in the sixties.
If you enjoy them please review them!Don't be shy!
Hello all. I'm a voracious reader and sometimes author. I read all genres, though I don't generally like YA, Paranormal romance, or erotica. I have a degree in European history, a background in American politics, and I was once a sportswriter.I've recently published my first novel, a sci-fi space opera: Dremiks

Hi all. My name is Tim Deans. I'm writing science fiction stories at the moment and hope to get started on a novel soon. A few years ago I did a couple of 'banger' rallies - one from England to Africa and another through India and Nepal in an autorickshaw - and wrote a book about my adventures. I have self-published on Amazon and am pleased to have finally finished a book! After years of 'stopping and starting' I finally feel motivated to write some fiction as well. FYI The book is called 'Good Horn, Good Brakes and Good Luck!'

Hi, I'm Brian, an Irish author, living in Dublin. My debut novel, The Forced Redundancy Film Club was published on April 5, as part of a two-book deal. I'm currently writing the second book, and finding it difficult! Along with writing, I am a voracious reader and I love to talk about books.

Hi folks. Rob Polevoi here. I know I'm supposed to say that I love to write, but the truth is that I'm simply just a writer. Sometimes I like to write, but most of the time it's a battle with isolation, emotional fatigue, imaginative stress, etc. etc. Good writing comes at a pretty high cost for me. But there's never been any other choice. I made my first dollar writing when I was a 16 (I'm 56) and it's the only thing I've ever been any good at.I finally secured the time and means to get my fiction up to the level worthy of asking readers to spend their precious time on it. My first novel (604 pages) is Port Royal, a saga set in the age of the buccaneers. Been out on Kindle since January. Paperback just became available this week on Amazon and B&N.com.
I reached an age where I was actually frightened that I might die before I wrote something decent. Funny what motivates people.
Ben wrote: "Hi everyone. I'm Ben. I'm not terrifically good at introductions, so I'll just say helloooo. I love to write, and I love to read, and I love to draw. I also get stressed when I feel I should be writing instead but it's all part of the process for modern writers like us!

On with a friend’s encouragement I have joined Goodreads with the hopes of joining the author program, but I am not able too because I used Createspace to publish my book. So I’m now looking for alternative ways to get my story out to that one or two other people who may enjoy it until it can be listed on this site, and to connect with others who love to write.
I mostly write fantasy/paranormal, but I dabble in science fiction, horror and romance. Sometimes I never know what kind of story I’m writing. I have experimented with general romantic fiction (you know “real” things/people) but I keep wanting to add some kind of supernatural element.
I also read a lot, in the same genres that I write, but I will sample others.
