Sharon Ellis | 6 comments Hi everyone! I have been away from Goodreads for a few months, and just today have come back to all of you , my dear friends who love books and writing! Yay! It feels good and I am anxious to connect with others who love good books and writing! I live in Texas with my good hubby of many years and our black lab dogs.
I write, so far, Memoir style biography true stories, because the stories I have in me to tell are more fascinating than fiction, to me. :)
I don't know if I am supposed to put this here, but here are the links to the 2 books I have published if anyone wants to go see what I write.
http://www.amazon.com/SEEING-LIBERTY-...

and http://www.amazon.communions-Christ-S...
Great to be here and back amongst you again! Peace, Sharon

Kristi (kristicasey) Hi everyone! I'm Kristi (aka Books N Beans). First thank you for the invitation to the group. I joined a little while back, though I can't remember exactly when so it's probably longer than I think. Time seems to have a way of flying by, doesn't it?

I've been lurking a bit, getting a feel for the group, and I have to say I really like what you've done here.

But this is an introduction page, so here goes...
I am an avid reader, and I love all genres, okay almost all genres. I'm sure there's one or two out there that I'd rather not read, but I'm not sure I've come across them yet. ;)

I am a military spouse with 3 kids. I have an absolute fascination with people which I think lends itself to my reading addiction. I love "hearing" people's stories.

I do have a book blog, if you're interested in checking it out. http://mybooksnbeans.blogspot.com

And Books N Beans is on Facebook now. That's a very recent addition (a couple of days) so don't expect much.

I'm thrilled to be here with all of you, and helping in my own little way to promote the authors in the group. I'm pretty much full on reviews on my blog, but I'd be happy to do guest blog spots and/or book news posts for new releases anyone has coming out. And I can add that information to the BNB FB page too.

Again, thanks for inviting me!

Steven Stickler Hi all,

Just discovered goodreads (yes, I live in a cave) and LOVE it! My background is in academic research and writing, mostly the sort of thing that is a sure cure for insomnia, but have become increasingly interested in children's fiction as my son has been working his way through the library shelves.

What's a parent to do? Well, write a book, of course. My recently published debut, The Absolutely Amazing Adventures of Auggie Spinoza is an adventurous trip through history appropriate for kids in the 8-12 age range. Yes, there are spies and action and a few funny lines, but there is also a solid dose of history and a few valuable lessons.

Please check it out and let me know what you think.

Best, Steven

Laurie, how fascinating! I know that sounds twisted, but I'm one of those that's obsessed with crime, the criminal, and especially the criminal mind. Probably why I ended up with a degree in criminology.

What an experience to have had.

I've written stories for many years, and been lucky enough to have some published in magazines and books, but I've only just recently opened my eyes to self-publishing ebooks. Hey Spencer!

Lovely to meet you. So, how did I get into espionage? I actually have no clue :) I started writing this story with an amnesiac heroine and little by little, the plot took a suspense twist with an espionage slant.

And this has been the basis for my 3-book series (Book 1 is out, Book 2 will be coming out in a few months, Book 3's in the writing). The series' title is Corpus Brides, and each book revolves around the life, love, and missions of an elite female spy from the Corpus agency (a fictional agency I devised for the purposes of my plot). The books take place all over Europe - for example, Book 1, Walking The Edge, hops from London to Marseille, while Book 2 takes place in London & Hastings, Prague, Las Vegas, and the French Provence.

Okay, I think I better stop yakking about the series now :) Tell me about yours

Ok my name's Nicola. I love writing. Unfortunately I hardly ever get anything done. I did however complete a book of poetry called A Story not Wished to be Read on Smashwords! And I'm working on two books and an album. I also have a blog, generalhavoc.wordpress.com, so if you want to get a sample of my writing there's plenty there. There's also the first chapter of one of my works in progress, A Spy of Kings.
