Three years ago, I retired from a 44-year career as a government bureaucrat, data analyst and IT consultant. Much of my work involved writing policy documents, research papers, etc. After retirement, my itch to keep writing nagged at me until I ended up finishing a full-length novel. (Heroes Borne: Tales of the One True Realm) Inexplicably, it's an 'animal world' style fantasy though, to be honest, it doesn't cleanly fit any genre. (Humorous political satire populated by donkeys, dogs and large black and white bears?)

I am at a crossroads as to whether to write books 2 and 3 of the imagined trilogy or move on to a more mainstream style. I suppose it depends on whether anyone but me and my wife reads the first book!
