Introduce Yourself!
I am a Texan who runs back to the joy of books during the holiday break each year, vowing to remain faithful. Some years my resolution lasts longer than others. Hopefully this year as I continue to plunge into the world of GoodReads, I will find new friends who will hold my feet to the fire - just don't burn my books.

My name is Kim Justus. I enjoy reading books, but I've also just written my first! In a Flash: Miracles Here and Beyond, found at inaflash.org. The book is a memoir about my experience with a ruptured brain aneurysm, near death experience, and the miracles I observed during and after my incident. I think most people can relate to the common themes that I discuss, which cover a range of emotions. If you've ever lost a loved one, or come near death yourself, and wondered what happens when we die, you will find this book of interest. Paperback is available on Amazon, or signed through my website. The "e" book is on Kindle, Nook, and Apple iBooks.I hadn't planned on being an Indie Author, but I'm glad I am. I wanted by book to print before my hair turned gray! I appreciate your support, and can be reached through the website. Thanks & good luck to everyone else on their maiden voyage! Happy New Year!!

Hi,I'm Francine, love reading, had a few poems published AGES ago but then got into my career which got sidelined by the good old cancer bug. So now I have nothing but time on my hands to read and there is nothing I like better then to promote new authors so I am always searching them out. I've worked with young adults and young kids, special needs included so have a good grip on what they like but I just like reading everything and everything and spreading the word. That sounds totally goofy! I suck at introducing myself|!!!!

Emerging Novelists (and creative non-fiction writers) are exactly whom we are trying to give voice to at our small press Fuze Publishing, founded almost 3 years ago. We've brought out 5 titles with 5 more in the pipeline. I'll check out your website.
Late bloomer here. Nearly 80 years old and writing historical fiction for everyone, but especially for preteens. Foreign diplomats to the United States have taken an interest in one of my books as an easy introduction to the life of Alexander the Great, but also as a story that promotes dialogue between young people of every faith and nationality. A Pakistani general, much to my surprise, would like to see the book placed in Islamic schools. Try to see the reviews on Goodreads of Bullheaded Black Remembers Alexander, and for other "readers' comments" see www.bullheadedblack.com.
Hello everyone. I am Praveeta, the author of "Imagine Travelling To The Most Mysterious & Unusual Places" which is a children's fiction.
Social networking is definitely a daunting prospect, Justin. What I've learned in the process is to master one format at a time--Goodreaders, Twitter, Facebook, the kindle boards, etc. Trying finding threads that you would feel confident posting in, like discussions about books or genres you enjoy, then leave pertinent, meaningful comments, rather than self-promoting all the time. Don't expect insta-results, but if you're consistent, you'll soon find yourself making friends and seeing an increase in sales.Hope this helps!
I'm happy to announce that my award-winning novel, WINTER BREAK: A Luminous Jourey into Wisdom and Love, is now avaiable on Kindle at the following address: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006SYITQY

Hello everyone,Martin here; I'm also a self-publishing author seeking the traditional route. I love cooking, biking, skiing, and hiking. Recently I picked up a guitar and a "Dummies" book and am annoying the heck out of everyone by trying to learn it.
As for my book, it is the first in a trilogy, and it is called "The Spaces Between". Right now it's on Amazon and B&N (and here in goodreads as well). Looking forward to perhaps connecting with readers and fellow authors.
Thanks and have a great day :)

Hello everyone, I'm really happy to be here. I only recently became active on Goodreads, and this group caught my attention pretty quickly.I'm an aspiring writer who loves to read. I finished m first novel last year, and I'm currently seeking agent representation for it. I'm also finishing edits on my first novella, which is kind of a dark fantasy story. I plan on self publishing that one.
I enjoy reading fantasy, science fiction, horror, and political thrillers, plus the occasional classic. I like non-fiction history as well.
I'm looking forward to participating in the discussions here. Take care!
William
Hi, all,I joined this group some time ago and may even have posted a bio, but I've been inactive for so long that I'd like to introduce myself.
I have equal love for reading and writing, so my habits are always fed. I'm the author of two fantasies, Big Dragons Don't Cry and Dance with Clouds. I have also published a book on holistic health for cats and dogs and a volume of short stories, Cats in Command.

G'day, I'm Rosemary Fryth and the author of the heroic epic fantasy trilogy 'Riothamus'. I live in Queensland, Australia and all my life I have either been reading books, writing fiction or writing poetry. I am a big fan of fantasy and sci-fi and am especially pleased that I was finally able to get my trilogy self-published as an eBook on Amazon, Kindle.
So far quite a number of people (as far away as the US, Canada, UK and Germany) have bought the book which surprised me given that I haven't told too many people about it and that it's only been on Kindle's virtual bookshelves for about three weeks now. Also recieved my first fan letter yesterday which not only floored me, but left me smiling the rest of the day.
Cheers!

Hello.I'm Michael Coorlim, a Chicago-based writer and screenwriter. My works tend towards the dark and fantastic, usually in a contemporary background. I also write about postmodern media, the internet, and the growing interconnectivity of art and western culture.
Hi I'm Christos. I am a writer. I write mostly hangover and mostly fiction. When I don't write fiction I write sloppy poetry, that the ones I would love to like it hate it.

People's lives and their ideas influence me and they dominate my works.
Greetings everyone,My name is James Gordon. I'm a self-published author. I've written 13 books and 6 comic books. I've been writing since 1998. My first book is entitled, The Unbegotten - Trials of Vanifera. It is the story of a woman who discovers she is the begotten daughter of God. It is one of a five book series that takes the reader to the end of the world, then the end of the creation and back again. The other books in the series are entitled Cataclysm, Sacrifices, Apocrypha and Yesterday's Kingdom.
I've also written a series of life in a post-socialist America. The four-book Kitty Wu series starts with Mandarin Rose. Kitty is the main character. She is a prostitute who faces an uphill battle with her oppressive benefactor, Mayor Elka Weinhauer, who is determined to bring the country and the rest of the world to the brink of destruction. Only Kitty and her friends stand in her way.
I've also written Mocha Heat, the story about two people in separate relationship who find that they love each other. Unfortunately, one of them is involved with a presumed terrorist who threatens everything they hold dear. The spin off to this book is entitled Palmettos In Moonlight in which the presumed terrorist gives their side of the story while trying to elude the people that are trying to kill them.
Lastly, there is Nationhood. Twenty-five years after the Affirmative Action policy is ruled unconstitutional, African Americans find themselves either as indentured servant or outcasts. They return to Africa and build a new powerful nation. Unfortunately, a virus deadlier than Ebola is released. Terrorism is suspected and all fingers point toward one country, The United States. As the world is on the brink of war, a spy named Mbaku Bolo must find the cure to the deadly disease that is spreading across his country before all out war is declared.
Also, there's the erotic compilation entitled Entice Me. Eleven raw, erotic adventures tell the adventures of people surrendering to their primal lusts and indulging in guiltless pleasures.
I'm grateful to be a part of this group. I hope you will find my stories intriguing and entertaining. You can learn more about my books at www.madsquareonline.com. Thanks and Happy Reading!!!

Hi, I'm Natasha, thank you Jack for the invite!I love to read and write, however I am not a professional writer, just a scribble here and there. Reading has been my passion!
Good morning everybody, working on the few last three chapters on my upcoming novel Beautiful Colors..."Must Read" for the ladies.
Originally from Arkansas, but having lived in GA now for 29 years, I worked in sales for a quarter-century and began writing fiction full-time 4 years ago. My first novel SOMERSET is available at amazon in both trade paperback and Kindle. As of today, my second novel THE EMERALD AMULET, is available at amazon in trade paperback and will be up for Kindle users by Jan. 17th. J.P. Cunningham. http://jp-cunningham.com
Hello Vincent...I've just joined GoodReads and am the author of six historical novels and two works of nonfictions. Most of my fiction, such as "ISLAND OF THE SWANS" and "A COTTAGE BY THE SEA" focus on the historic linkages between the United Kingdom and the United States, asking the question "What were the WOMEN doing?" --especially "professional" women who were playwrights, political figures, artists, musicians, and even architects--because they were there in the 18th-, 19th & early 20th centuries! At any rate, I am currently about to independently publish my first e-book and am in the planning stages of five novellas spinning off the lives of the seven children of so-called "Match-Making Duchess"--Jane Maxwell, the 4th Duchess of Gordon and the heroine in SWANS. Lovely to be part of this group....
Hello Vincent and everyone. I'm an Author, husband, dad, grandpa, retired police officer and lawyer. I comment on my novels, other books, writing, police and world events. My publisher is Booktrope Editions. My website is www.gotuseries.com
I look forward to interacting with this group!
