Hey JW! You said you are an aspiring writer of epic fantasy and that caught my eye. I published the first book of my fantasy epic not too long ago, Tenebris: The Unholy Darkness. I have been working on this story for a very long time and am eager to hear people's thoughts on it. if you are interested you can check it out, I'll drop a link https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Also, feel free to message me if you have any workd building questions or anything. This was a very long journey of trial and error and I am more than happy to help others along their own way.

Diana Howell (mercedy) | 8 comments Hi, everyone. I'm Diana.

I still have the copy of MADELINE awarded to me in the second grade. Reading Period was always my favorite part of the school day, and spelling bees, which I usually won unless Frankie Doetsch was present that day. Then we were the last two standing, and if I didn't choke, I won!

I didn’t start writing seriously until I was fifty-three. Even so, I believed in myself because when I sat at the computer, I felt happy. I knew this was what I was meant to do. The more I practiced writing, the better I got.

But I still have trouble with my commas.

I just published my first middle-grade novel titled Wishes Are Free. The first is a series to be called, Rose O'Reilly and Grandpa. Best wishes to all of us with the nerve to say, "I can write a book," and the grit to see it through.

And thank you for Good Reads and Vincent.

"Wishes" has received some generous reviews. A couple of excerpts: "I was given this book by a friend and immediately bought several copies for my granddaughter, nieces, friends. It's a wonderful read, full of positive thoughts and the warmth of friendship."

And:

"Uplifting storyline and lovable characters all infused with a delightful sense of humor. This book will warm your heart."

Congratulations to all of you published authors! Wishes Are Free link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BF3P5Y7T

Thank you!

I write short fiction and have published a trilogy of short stories on Amazon involving the main character, Tiffanie. She's the suburban girl next door with a great career, but finds herself in a few dilemmas and adventures along the way. She's cool, she's sexy. She's Tiffanie. Shavona White | 1 comments Shavona here,

Hello to anyone reeding this. First, it takes confidence to write a book and put yourself out there, so kudos to everyone.

I am new to this platform, but like most of us... I love to read and write.

I will be self publishing my first book early next year and I have been learning a lot through out this journey.

Existential thought process excites me and draws me in. Science fiction in all forms motivates me to continue with my imagination and explore the depths of the universe.

My favorite book is- Time Travelers Wife- A beautiful tale of love and science fiction.

I would like to make friends here and grow in my lover of books community.

Please add me as a friend.

Em Brooks (theauthorembrooks) | 1 comments Hello, I am Em Brooks and I'm a self-published author with ten books available to read at the moment. I love to write. I'm just looking to get my books known to people who love to read.

I write fiction, which can be categorized as action and adventure romance, military romance, contemporary romance, and mystery -- Although, they are more action and adventure than romance. (But what is life without romance?)

I never intended to, but I have two series published, with a third in progress. I also just released a collection of short stories on June 19th. I also have several other works in progress to be published over the next year or two but in the meantime, I'd love to introduce my books to you!

You can find my work at www.amazon.com/author/embrooks and also at barnesandnoble.com. You can also find me here on Goodreads as well. ( https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... )

I.I. Limn | 3 comments Hello Everybody!

I am a newly self published author who is having an incredibly awkward time promoting their first book. I guess I didn't think about it at the time, but if you write a book on fairly *adult* subjects, you can't just make a casual post on facebook or insta where all your friends, family members, former coworkers, kid's friends, parents of your kids friends, all these extended people are and be all like HEY GUESS WHAT I WROTE A BOOK THAT'S KIND OF LIKE 50 SHADES IF THE GENDERS WERE REVERSED -sorry you had to see that grandma. well actually my grandma would probably be ok with that to be honest, she's kind of a wild woman, but long story short, I'm looking for readers and would L O V E to see some reviews. if you're so inclined, you can read it on kindle unlimited for free for I think the next 60 days. you can find it here:

https://www.amazon.com/Master-Mr-Walk...

Thanks for reading! oh and feel free to add me if you too are awkward about stuff and things or if you're looking for more reader/writer friends in general.

Patrick O'Connor (patrick-o-connor) | 3 comments Hello,

My name is Patrick O'Connor and my first book is out on 19th July. It is called BISENTIENT. I plan to complete a three book series to start with.
I'm excited to be a part of this community as an avid reader and now as an actual author.

Short synopsis:

Cameraman Mason Plater gets a fill-in job on a documentary at a mental hospital. An inexplicable incident there triggers disturbing dreams. Molly James, a young intern, tries to help him unravel what’s happening to him.

In the US a charismatic leader of a new church becomes a rising star in politics. For cult de-programmer Erik Nordstrom the church is not what it seems. Why is a church building a strange machine in a disused military base in the Rocky mountains?

The UK Home Secretary struggles with his loyalties, as a government minister but also as a member of a clandestine global organisation sworn to protect humanity, but from what? A centuries old threat that is too dangerous to reveal.

Why is a secret Home Office department desperate to implant coma patients with experimental devices? Two young technicians decide to find out.

Plater discovers his world has changed. He finds himself drawn into a race against time to prevent the sinister church and its leader completing their machine. He finds help and a common cause with others from unexpected sources.

Time is short, as the church leader increases his power and an ancient order of occultists set out to kill Plater.

Robert Strife | 2 comments My name is Robert A. J. Strife, newly self-published, and author of Castle of Calamity: On Death's Door. I write epic medieval fantasy, and I'm trying to find my audience.

A quick description of On Death's Door: In a land where monsters and demons invade the Gusarin Kingdom. Portals from the underworld invite fiends to the realm. Ancient entities and otherworldly powers awaken to threaten the ecosystem of the land. The king tasks Mercrucious; Lord of Greyfall and hunter of monsters, to seek the fiends out and save the kingdom. Will he be
enough to quell the darkness that infects the continent, or is there more at stake, hiding behind a shrouded veil?

My main character, Mercrucious Dynasty, is an introverted monster hunter that feels trapped doing the bidding of others. He is armed with an enchanted heavy chain whip.

Castle of Calamity: On Death's Door is a passion project that I've wanted to write for years. I'd say it's for fans of Castlevania, A Song of Ice and Fire, and The Witcher. Currently working on book 2 and a few side stories. For anyone interested, check it out. My writing style is unfiltered and unapologetic as a fair warning.

https://www.amazon.com/stores/author/...

https://www.smashwords.com/books/view... (Summer sale going on)

It's available on Amazon, smashwords, Barnes & Noble, rakuten kobo, etc.

Lynda West | 8 comments Brutally Funny: A Dark Collection of Dysfunctional Family StoriesLynda West

I released my first work of fiction, Brutally Funny, in June, 2023.

It’s about the Lloyd family. And emotional pain drenched in tears…of mocking laughter. Because the joke’s on them! Once, they were brutally in control; but now they stand revealed as petty, mean-spirited, incompetent and delusional nincompoops. And the inspiration for wicked mirth.

And so, deep down, this book’s about revenge. Sweet revenge.

A voracious reader, I have long nurtured a desire to write my own books. Throughout my entertainment-centered career I wrote reams of publicity copy for the numerous projects and clients I represented. All the while, working on stories I hoped one day to publish. I’m now beginning my new life as an author with a collection of darkly comic stories, “Brutally Funny,” about the dysfunctional Lloyd family – a “fictional” group of misfits disturbingly similar to my own bizarre relatives.
