Hi Everyone! My name is Delanie Tiedemann, this year I published my first book called THE JUMP. As much as I love to write, I also love to read! I am excited to see the new work that is coming out and to start planning my summer reading list.
Hello everyone!I'm Olly Barrett and I published the first book in my series of The Mouse Protectors, The Battle for Oak Ridge, on Monday 10th April. It's a gritty MG/YA animal POV book, influenced by Watership Down from when I was much younger. I had 173 literary agent rejections because it was hard to place in the market & "nobody wants to read animal POV books these days".
I disagree. I hope I'm right as I'm writing the 4th one now! Anyway, just wanted to say hello to all my fellow authors and readers. It's honestly a good read, and I know I have to get more than the solitary 1 review I already have on Amazon, but they're coming!
(Quietly crosses his fingers)
Nice to meet you all!
Hi, everyone! My name is Lisa Muchnik. My first children’s book Rainbow Panda was traditionally published by Clavis this past week! It’s a book about identity and inner beauty. It encompasses all the different aspects of my life where I have drawn wisdom and experience from - as a nurse anesthetist I’m a healer, as an aerial yoga instructor I get to focus on playfulness and lightness of spirit, and as a mom I get to see the world through my kids’ eyes everyday. I’m very excited to connect with other authors and readers here on Goodreads.
Hello everyone,My name Luis Colon, and I recently published my YA action/sci-fi novel entitled "The Hadrian Prophecy." The book tells the story of Anna, a young woman who discovers that she is not human but an alien from a planet called Eldron. When Anna receives a powerful ring, she finds herself in a dangerous battle to save Earth from an alien invasion led by the ruthless empress Aella.
Feel free to check out the story at: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Hi everyone,I am J. Dhopte, a Mechanical Engineer currently working as a Professor in an engineering college. I published my first book, Erosion of Democracy: how to save a dying democracy? in last month, 10th March. I will be releasing my second book in June or July.
I love to read. I started my career in the merchant navy and travelled to 26 countries while working on ships. After 10 years, I left the Merchant Navy and started working in a manufacturing company as a maintenance manager. Since I was a curious and wandering soul, 2 years later, I went to Tanzania, Africa, and took up a job in a five-star resort as an assistant chief engineer; after a year, I became the chief engineer there. But after 2 years, I had to come back to India due to a family problem. Since then, I have been working as a professor. I do not end up thinking engineering to be an end in itself and continue to experiment with myself. I believe that it’s not always the smartest person in the room who makes the greatest impact, but the one who has the knowledge and the emotional intelligence to connect people and ideas. I used to write poems when I was at sea. I started writing in March 2020, when the government ordered a nationwide lockdown in an effort to contain the COVID-19 epidemic in the country. Since then, I have written ten books, which are going to be published this year.
Hi everyone. I haven’t been here in a long time, so maybe I should re-introduce myself. I’m a Goodreads author & a New Testament detective❗️ My book is a biblical bombshell because it presents a new paradigm shift. I made an electrifying discovery that turns historical Christianity on its head, namely, that the story of Jesus is a prophecy❗️I can prove it. I have my own systematic theology and unique interpretation of Jesus. According to the New Testament Epistles, the Christ will die “once for all” (Gk. ἅπαξ hapax) “at the end of the age” (Heb. 9.26b), a phrase which consistently refers to the end of the world (cf. Mt. 13.39-40, 49; 24.3; 28.20). Similarly, 1 Pet. 1.20 (NJB) demonstrates the eschatological timing of Christ’s *initial* appearance by saying that he will be “revealed at the final point of time.”❗️
It is an award-winning book with positive reviews by Bible scholar Robert Eisenman, among others. If you decide that you want the book to be part of your library, then here’s the link. Thank you so much. All the best!

Hi all, I’m a New Jersey native (Exit 163) who earned an Industrial Design degree from The Ohio State University. After years of agency work, my love of acting led me to Hollywood, where I appeared in dozens of television, film, and stage productions. I also spent my twenty-eight years in Tinseltown, entrepreneuring. I started five non-profit companies. But hold the applause, none were intended to be. I now live in the South of France. But hold your pity. I of sound mind and body chose to suffer in the heart of wine country where the locals insist my French isn’t so bad—at least that’s what I think they’re saying. I am an award-winning designer, writer, and director. I have written lots of jokes, several screenplays, and one award-winning short film. A Cup of Tea on the Commode—a sad, sweet, and funny debut memoir—chronicles my adventures of filling my mother’s last years with love, laughter, and joy. Though not always successful, I came pretty damn close.
Happy to join this group! Mark Steven Porro

Hello,I am a recently retired police officer and prior to that an EMT. I just finished a non-fiction piece reflecting on my work experiences addressing homelessness, addiction, and mental illness. I wish I had more time to read, there are so many interesting books here. I am constantly adding more books to my que every day. At this rate I'll still be trying to catch up in the coffin. 😆
My name is Les Nicholls, I have written 5 books so far, mostly factual, but I have just finished a novel. It is a rewrite of my first book, and it is called "Missing in Jamaica." It is a thriller about a man and his search for his wife when she goes missing while they are on holiday in Jamaica. My interests in music has led me to write books about Michael Jackson and Reggae (my favorite music genre).
I have also written a book about the origins of customs, superstitions, fairy stories and much more.
I have an interest in history, especially black history or anything related to the far east.
I also sing and play guitar in a band, we play early rock and roll, pop and Soul music mainly.

Hi Olly, welcome to Goodreads. I am still fairly new to this forum myself and still finding my feet. Your book sounds intriguing. I will check it out. I hope it is not as dark as Watership Down. I am a bit squeamish and some of the scenes in Watership Down were a bit too graphic for me. Great storytelling though.
I think kids still love reading animal POV books as long as they are captivating stories. The warrior cat series certainly proves that point.
I have not long ago published an animal adventure story written from the POV of a cat and initial feedback has been really positive. Good luck with your book launch. It is a great feeling to finally hold that first copy in your hands. Priceless.
Best wishes

Hello everyone! I am Marina Bezuglova and finally I published my book “Finding serenity amid the chaos” on Amazon! This book came to life out of a diary I started keeping in an attempt to practice mindfulness. My diary didn’t turn out to be an event log but rather notes on how to live in harmony with yourself and the world around you, how to survive in a stressful environment, and how to make the right decisions. Over time, I came to the idea of a book that combines the results of my reflections with the knowledge that I acquired from various sources and fields of science. I tried to combine my experience in social research and management with my background in medicine and psychology.
This book is divided into two parts. The first part is about issues of stress management, mindfulness, mental hygiene, and health in a broad sense. The second part explores issues of creative thinking and decision-making.
I will be glad if you want to read the book and I will be especially happy if you share your feedback with me!
Finding Serenity Amid the Chaos: How Managing Your Stress Can Enhance Your Creativity and Well-Being
Hello everyone: I am Amjad Farooq from Miami. I am Associate Professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Although a biophysicist by trade with decades of experience in cancer research, I am also interested in understanding the trials and tribulations of human society.
Speaking of which, please allow me to share the news of my newly-released book titled "The Oqual Cycle: The 84-Year Rhythm of Human Civilization".
Briefly, the theory of oqual cycle posits that human civilization waxes and wanes over a period of 84 years due to its coupling with the orbiting of Uranus around the Sun.
The theory of oqual cycle is supported by tons of data both at qualitative and quantitative level stretching back some 600 years.
I would love you guys to take a look The Oqual Cycle at:

And, of course, I would deeply value your feedback.
Thank you!
Hi Joshua, I know the feeling! Promoting is not easy. I have just published my fourth novel, and to me, that was the easy part! Marketing is extremely difficult. How do people get their names out there? I write mystery novels. Two of them take place across the pond, in Sheffield, Yorkshire England, and the other a spinoff, which takes place on the coast, in Blackpool. WANTING AIDAN, and HERO OF BLACKPOOL. My other two take place in Ontario, and Arizona. My Amazon reviews are very good, but finding readers does take a lot of work. Finding people willing to review and post is so vital to me! Check it out! www.alyhallwriter.com

Hello Everyone, I am Jyoti. I am currently writing my second romance novel and every now and then take a break to read. I am still figuring out how 'goodreads' works, but so far I am enjoying this. I got the reading and reviewing part but other features might take a while to learn. Happy Reading :)
Hello Everyone! I'm Marina, and currently editing translation my novella in English (it's not easy task you know).
Greetings from Colorado! I am a retired teacher, and I am a new member. Please be patient as I figure this out. I published a historical novel about Mary Magdalene. Is anyone interested in some tantalizing historical evidence about her real role in early Christianity?
Howdy, my name is Trent and I'm a self-published epic fantasy/western writer, for fans who enjoy the fully-fleshed out world of Tolkien, the brutality and grimdark nature of Warhammer, the explorations of culture through the eyes of Jorge R. Gutierrez, the storytelling of Dmitry Glukhovsky, and experimental adventures of Genndy Tartakovsky. After the earth froze over in a great cataclysm, humanity took to the old city’s underground tunnels and survived the chill like vermin. Hundreds of years later, as the clans continue to clash over heat and scraps, people decide to test their mettle by reclaiming the world above only to discover that these lands rally against them by manner of tooth and claw.
My stories follow a bunch of misfits who confront the supernatural, fighting to become more than pawns between the games of cosmic horrors. Magik often draws the ire of ruinous powers, and in a world where isolated frontier towns are crushed by relentless torrents of snowfall, vagabonds take all the help they can get, lest be wiped off the map. Those at the mercy of the weather quickly discover fate pulling their strings, and beasts nipping at their heels, goading them further into the fray.
The gods shake their snow globe and chuckle, for the world was not always silent and still.

Hello to Everyone,My name is Paul Volponi and I have somehow managed to write 20 published books. The work is comprised of 13 novels and 7 non-fiction books, ranging from YA to adult non-fiction. I tour the country relentlessly, visiting schools, speaking with students and doing writing workshops in public libraries for adults. I will have four books out in a time span from Sept. 2022 to Sept. 2023. The last two books in that line are The 32 Principles: Harnessing the Power of Jiu-jitsu for Business, Relationships and Life (co-authored with jiu-jitsu master Rener Gracie, and surprising listed in the Top 5 overall at B&N.com. this week) and SpongeBob SquarePants: The Unauthorized Fun-Ography. I'm also a working journalist covering the sport of Thoroughbred racing. I've held press credentials since 1996. I worked on Rikers Island, the world's biggest jail, for six years helping teens there with their schoolwork. I'm a big believer in writers being fearless in their approach. As an example, I'm the co-author of a book about jiu-jitsu, though I've never practiced the art in my life (luckily, I am a trained martial artist in another discipline). Two of my 20 books have been co-author situations--one with a close friend and one with a relative stranger.
I love talking about all aspects of writing. I don't believe I'm always right about my opinions, but I've been in the publishing industry long enough to have experienced a lot of things, including plenty of ups-and-downs.
I hope that I can be useful to the group. --Paul
Hello, all! My name is Lauren Koetting; I published my first (but hopefully not only) novel last summer through a local indie publisher. It's a lengthy work and perhaps an uncomfortable read for some, but I very much believe it has capacity both to entertain and to inspire. Categorized as Christian fiction/fantasy and magical realism, my book (Grace of Demons: The Devil's Eve) tells a story of a protagonist who discovers she is an incarnation of Satan and must decide whether she will pursue goodness or instead embrace the evil power with which she has been endowed. As a new author (who very much feels not at all like an author), I look forward to learning from other writers in the group and perhaps finding both new readers for my novel and new reads for myself!
Hi everyone. I'm Peter E Sisco IV. I used to write all the time in school . I wasn't the best writer but i was one of the few . I recently wrote my first story in almost 30 years but it opened the flood gates . I worked with an editor, my punctuation really suffered from lack of use , but I'm self published . This first book , a Novella, was actually inspired by my father after he passed away. I was a King Arthur kid but my dad introduced me to Conan ( the Arnold shwarzenegger movie ) and then i read a lot of the Robert E Howard Conan stories but none of the other Conan stuff . So as I started putting the story together i spent a month listening to the Robert E Howard Conan omnibus over and over to try to really pay respect to both him and my father while putting influences like Stephen king and T.W Brown in it but also movie influences from Quentin Tarantino and Rob Zombie in it . I also want to build it into something bigger so i also tied in an Excalibur twist .
( I stole this from my recent blog entry but it is pretty well detailed )
Rise of the Warrior Queen is the first Novella in a series that will continue with 2 or 3 more Lorianah stories but also beyond as the series progresses through the ages following her sword well into a future hundreds of years beyond our current time .
While I'm not adverse to Horror or shock and gore I have to admit Rise of the Warrior Queen wrote it's self with some extremely disturbing imagery but it is relevant to the evil , Cheron , that the continent faced .
My next book , OCALA , is a horror , as well as my preferred genre , but while it will have violence and gore and heartache, it will not have the vileness of Rise of the Warrior Queen. I don't want to give to much away but if you liked the movie EXISTS then you're gonna probably like my tale of four stoners who go out into the Ocala forest to see if they can catch a Sasquatch ( Skunk Ape in these parts ) live on a video streaming broadcast . Without giving away details I can say the ending will likely make you laugh , cry and smile all at the same time .
The other book I've started laying out , but got distracted with Ocala is VENPIRE . This not a sparkly Vamp tale . It will take place years in the future after the Great Vamp War . One lone Vampire is left and awakings in the future . " We thought we won the war , instead they change all the rules " .

They wanted love, passion, travel, and intrigue. They surrounded themselves with wealthy people such as Ambassadors, Earls, Dukes, Directors of the CIA, FBI, and Interpol. They both worked in the government offices during their college years and met many millionaires and billionaires. When they graduated, they never expected their lives to end up in the espionage world. They learned very quickly who they could trust, so they thought! What started out as their plan to travel the world for a year or two, ended up being an experience of a lifetime.
You can purchase at www.amazon.com. My readers cannot put the book down and continue to want more. Please let me know what you think of them.
I am a budding author. I am residing in India and working as software professional for past two decades. I am also pursuing Hindustani classical flute for past twenty five years. My literary works are mainly in English and Bangali languages. Till now I have published two books on Bengali literary works - "Chirkuter Khonje" (চিরকুটের খোঁজে) and "Drishtikon" (দৃষ্টিকোণ). Both books are inspired by events in daily life and puzzles of mind. Both books have short stories and poems that would provoke introspective thoughts in readers mind about society, self and help them to find clues for solving many of the inter-personal, societal, self-development oriented issues .
Looking forward to get readers' review about my work as well as would look for scope to get suggestions and advices from the community members. Thank you.

Welcome to all.My name is Susanna Isabell. I am a mom who is trying to raise my children to the best of her ability. I live in an average city located in an ordinary country. My daily activities are not particularly interesting. I lead a monotonous, routine existence. Nevertheless, I have experienced many ups and downs, joys and sorrows, moments of victory and defeat. However, I always try to pass on valuable lessons to my children. I know I am far from perfect, but I do my best to be the best mother I can be.
I create various adventures, fairy tales, and other stories that contain many meaningful and instructive elements in addition to an engaging plot to help me better connect with my children. In this way, I want to prepare my children for adulthood and raise them to be responsible and good people. Since I have repeatedly heard that my stories are good, I decided to publish them so that every child can become interested in the adventures of the characters in them and remember for life the positive values contained in them. I wish with all my heart that every child could read them and learn as many valuable lessons as possible from them, which will be an inspiration for the rest of their lives.
That is why the "Krissy and Pip" series of bedtime stories was created. I dream that as many children as possible will have the chance to get to know this friendly couple and their adventures.
I am just learning how to promote my book, and I am asking for tips on how to reach as many children as possible.
I wish everyone a nice day and always interesting books—those written and those read.

Hello wonderful authors!I'm Remy Fernandes. I love to read fiction, especially sci-fi, mystery, thrillers, and horrors. If there is humor, mutants, or a juicy twist in a story, I'm all for it!
In 2015, my husband, Julian Fernandes, wrote his first book. He had always had the idea for an epic series called Earth's Final Chapter. I beta-read it for him, he graciously allowed me to make a few adjustments, and since then we decided to publish more books.
We started Endless Ink Publishing House because we wanted to expand the world of Earth's Final Chapter. Since then, we have expanded and published series (and upcoming anthologies) from other authors as well. I have edited all of the works from Endless Ink Publishing House, and we have added twenty more books to the EFC series, including my own.
In April I published my debut novella, Blink With A Capital O, book 16 of the series, and Julian has written several more installments in the series.
I'm also a parent of a five-year-old girl, two dogs, four turtles, and one unamused cat. Writing and editing have opened up a completely new world for me, thank you for letting me unload all that info!
I look forward to getting to know you all. Have a wonderful day!
Dreams are weird. But insightful too! You have a great memory to recant all of that. Thanks for sharing!
