On the age of threads. On the iPhone app for GoodReads, while in the comment sections look in the upper right hand corner; you should see an arrow. This denotes ascending or descending order according to post age. Tap it and you should see a miraculously pleasant change!!!!!

It says when threads were last updated beside the title and details of who started the thread and how many posts it has on the lists of topics in the different sections. So, you can easily see if a thread has been updated recently by looking at the date it was last updated.

Hello everyone, My name is Jamie Dodge, I'm the author of a science fiction survival book called The Forgotten Edge.I was taught to read at 3 years old and I don't think a day has gone by in the past 40 years when I didn't have a book in my hand at some point. I enjoy almost all genres, but I do love science fiction the most.
I look forward to hearing from other writers and readers
Hello Everyone, My name is Robert Michael, and I'm coming up no publishing my first novel - The Dalia and the Dilemma (see link in bio). I've had some beta readers and would like some more before I publish in January.
I've been currently looking for help in defining my genre and would welcome any advice.
Thanks!
Hi, my names Avery E Greene, I'm a wife and mother of one little girl, who keeps me really busy. For as long as I can remember I have loved stories and reading how people can create something that drags you in. Reading is my passion and I adore romance in any form. When I have any spare time I love swimming, listening to music, and watching movies. Most of the time I play the role of chauffeur for my little one, but for a moment at the end of each day I try to immerse myself in reading and writing. My dream is to finally create my very own stories to help readers float away, I published my debut novel in August this year.
It's a love story, as a hopeful romantic I love a HEA so this was an easy choice of genre. My debut novel is available from Amazon FREE on 10th-12th of November.
Please take advantage if you love a sweet romantic story.
Thanks Avery xxx
Hello everyone! My name is Tony Schumacher, I'm an author based in Liverpool England, and my debut novel The Darkest Hour: A Novel, came out about a month ago.

I've blogged a few times on the site about my writing and my reading so if you hunt around you should be able to learn a bit more about me.
Thank you so much for reading this far, and if you want to know anything else please ask away! :-)

Please. "only a reader," is what us writers are looking for. No apologies necessary.
Hi folks!Glad to find this group. I'm an avid reader of genre fiction.
I have two Robin Hood books out based heavily on the ballad tradition. They're inspired by the traditional adventure books of the past century that inspired films like Errol Flynn's Robin Hood; but are uniquely developed romps in short story form, and include twists and inside jokes for the Robin Hood enthusiasts and scholars.
Hello. I’m L. Davyd Pollack, author of “Positives & Negatives, Tricycles & Pancakes,” a novel about an extraordinary father who is willing to do anything for his physically disabled son. I’ve also published a couple of short stories and a novella. You can find everything at www.LDavydPollack.com or you can check out some excerpts in Goodreads: explore/creative writing. I look forward to meeting and networking with readers, reviewers, and authors willing to share their thoughts—good or bad . . . cruel, I won’t waste my time with.
Welcome G.K. and I.! G.K., I just loved the Robin Hood stories when I was young. Have you read the Louis Rhead edition? It's ancient and was even when I read it.
Good Sunday evening from Las Vegas. I am Andrea Goeglein. I grew up hating to read because I had a low attention span. All that changed when I read a book that changed my life: Scott Peck's The Road Less Travelled. That one book shifted everything for me. I learn to be more patient when I read. I never thought I would write a book but I love business, the business of life development, and because of those loves, I ended up with a guest segment on an Arizona morning TV show featuring Books That Matter. How did I decided what books to feature? I went to my extensive personal library amassed during my endless years of education in business, psychology and human development and selected Books That Matter because they helped people succeed in life. It was because of my love of books and business I developed the Don't Die (tm) series of inspirational true stories. The stories are real and each book is guided by the Don't Die Principles of Responsibility - a little bit of positive psychology powered by the desire for everyone to know they can help themselves. For me self-help is not a book category or an industry. For me, self-help is a personal responsibility to help yourself be, do, have and share all you help yourself become. So do I read, a BIG yes! Do I write books...well, they more or less write themselves when the story shows up. Happy reading and writing all.
