Valerie Pfundstein | 3 comments Hi! My name is Valerie Pfundstein and I am the author of Veterans: Heroes in Our Neighborhood. It's a rhyming children's book that celebrates the men and women who once bravely served our country and now humbly serve in our communities. I also speak at schools and museums about our wonderful veterans and the importance of documenting their stories, especially through intergenerational interviews. Our young people should know about the heroes that walk among us every day.

Anton Garrick | 1 comments I am Anton Garrick, a short story author, novelist, and a poet. Well I am self-published in those categories. Writing is most of what I love, I honestly can't remember when I started writing, I am hopping to build a fan base. I think that will be all thank you for letting me join this group.

Susan Darrow (susandarrow) | 2 comments Hello, everyone! I am a writer and reader. I live in New York City, but love to travel. I enjoy life's little pleasures, specifically white wine. My book was just released on Kindle. It's humorous erotica with recipes called Mouth Full. I'll be posting it under the book folder for more info, as this isn't an ad page :)
Also I am just a woman in the world trying to figure out how to use Goodreads.

Hello,

I've enjoyed Goodreads as a reader, so I recently added myself as an author. One on my novels The Social Potion is now available free to read with the Goodreads reader.

Oh, and my author website is at http://espiteau.com, so feel free to contact me with any reading, writing or book suggestion.

Cheers!

message 7020: by Beau (new)

Beau Johnston (beau_johnston) You're setting a high benchmark Michael. The rules are "entertaining" and "well mannered".

message 7021: by Michael (new)

Michael Casey | 3 comments Nobody told me about the manners thing. Are those rules, or just guidelines?

message 7022: by Beau (last edited Apr 02, 2014 01:58PM) (new)

Beau Johnston (beau_johnston) I think it's a rule.

My memoir, Loveyoubye: Hanging On, Letting Go and Then There's the Dog is due to be officially released on April 8th. I'm running a giveaway right now. Susan said something about a "book folder?" As you may be able to tell I'm not very good at this. Cheers!

message 7027: by Thomas (new)

Thomas Wictor (Bradati) | 1 comments I'm Thomas Wictor, author of the Ghosts Trilogy. Volume one is Ghosts and Ballyhoo: Memoirs of a Failed L.A. Music Journalist.

Volume Two is Chasing the Last Whale, a fictionalized black comedy about love and suicide in contemporary wartime America.

Volume Three is Hallucinabulia: the Dream Diary of an Unintended Solitarian. All three books share the theme of overcoming a traumatic past by transforming rage over loss into gratitude for what once was.

I'm still in the process of overcoming, as you can read here.

E.G. Weeks (egweeks) | 6 comments Hello! I'm Elaine Wood and I'm currently writing my first novel. The genre is erotica. This is my first time at Goodreads and I'm trying to learn how it all works, lol.

message 7037: by JS (new)

JS J | 6 comments Hello. I just finished my new screenplay, Dark Days. I would love any feedback or notes if you check it out and get the book at amazon.

www.amazon.com/Dark-Days-Screenplay-J...

When the post-apocalyptic world, weary from the long fight, was struggling to get back on its feet, those who remained longed for the fear and chaos to end. Unfortunately this led to the rise of Tyrants. A time where they and their soldiers controlled their City-States with brutality and hate. The worst of these Warlords is Police Mayor Syron and his City-State of Sideon. With so much uncertainty and hopelessness from Syron's ironclad rule, how can the people know the revolution will happen? Because Roman, a former soldier and ex mercenary, is returning to Sideon to start it.

Thanks for the help and support!

P.J. Sullivan | 2 comments Hi, I'm P. J. Sullivan and I write historical nonfiction. Two of my books are listed at Goodreads. I live in Northern California but have soaked up history in more than a dozen countries. History and people are my passions, and I combine them in my books, which focus on the human side of history, the up-close and personal side. I see humanity as the measure of all things. Call me a humanist. Also I write essays and book reviews, and do genealogy research. I read mostly historical nonfiction and biographies.
