It is a guide for 90% of the world outside the US and select Western European countries, revealing common mistakes that hinder business growth. Using relatable examples, it emphasizes ethical selling, steering clear of misleading practices. Aimed at small to mid-sized businesses, the book empowers readers to effectively showcase their offerings and avoid pitfalls that lead to stagnation or failure

The first book in the Historical Fiction series, Clash of Cultures, The Legend of Henson Wiseman and the Dakota Chiefs, is now available on Amazon.
Set in the 1860s on the Western Frontier before cities were villages. It follows both sides of the western expansion into Native American territory. Real people, true stories and events.

I have driven along Highway 12 in Northeastern Nebraska many times. Nearly every time my attention is drawn to a sign reminding us of a historical monument that is set back off the road, not far from the Missouri River. The significance it holds sparked my curiosity about our local history.

Nestled in the pages of a Frontier Historical Fiction series set in the 1860s, just after the arrival of the first settlers in Cedar County, Nebraska, is a captivating tale that transcends the confines of fiction. The series revolves around Henson Wiseman and his family, pioneers who played a role in the early settlement of Northeastern Nebraska. But this series also includes the frontier history of North and South Dakota, Minnesota, and parts of Western Iowa and the men and women who lived there.

This historical journey unveils the intricacies of life during that era. From the settlement of cities before they were villages. The historic rebellion of the Dakota against the US government. The narrative navigates through Yankton, South Dakota, the first capital of the Dakota Territory, St Paul when it was still known as Pig's Eye, Sioux City, Iowa and Covington, which later became South Sioux City, Nebraska, and other key locations.

What makes this series truly captivating is its foundation in true stories, events, and the lives of people who shaped the local history. The cast of characters includes governors, politicians, traders, agents, generals, soldiers, and the president of the United States, weaving together a tapestry of our shared past.

"Clash of Cultures, The Legend of Henson Wiseman and the Dakota Chiefs" takes readers on a journey back in time, shedding light on how the westward expansion of European settlers impacted the native people, particularly the Dakota and the Lakota. It delves into the hardships faced by both cultures on the frontier, revealing unimaginable treachery and death at the hands of those deemed 'civilized.'

The author, with commendable attention to historical accuracy, introduces only a few minor invented characters to connect the dots in the historical record. This series serves as a bridge connecting us to our historical roots, fostering an appreciation for the complexities of our shared history.

For those who cherish frontier history, this series promises an immersive experience, bringing to life the struggles, triumphs, and conflicts that shaped those early communities. I encourage fellow readers to embark on this literary journey and discover the rich heritage that lies beneath the surface of our historical landscapes.

While most cover the facts of the murders as reported in newspapers of the time, what the Benders did before or after coming to Kansas was pure speculation, based on oft-repeated rumors. M. (mrosepeluso) | 32 comments Hi all, hope you can help. I rec'd on my Author Dashboard yesterday a "question" from 3 different people here on GR. Different people but all the same exact message. Very threatening & abusive. Telling me my family should die, called me a pig, said my book was garbage, and if I didn't pay them to review my book, they would get vicious. I ignored the questions, reached out to GR & flagged/reported the questions. Rec'd no response so far from GR. Then today I rec'd more "questions." More threatening than yesterday's. Saying they are in a different country, GR & Amazon can't touch them. They want me off of GR or they will pirate my book. They claim to be AI. So again, I ignored them. Reported & reached out again to GR. Has this happened to anyone else? And what should I do about it? What happens to my book sales or royalties if they actually do pirate my memoir? Should I be worried? Thanks for your help and God Bless.

Ignacio Esteban | 448 comments Just released on Amazon, Bloods, Crips and the Murder of Tupac Shakur by retired ATF Special Agent Ignacio J. Esteban, author of over 75 books published on Amazon including his autobiography ATF UNDERCOVER detailing his dangerous undercover cases, all his books are free for Kindle Unlimited Subscribers. ATF Undercover is now available as an audio book on Audible. He has also done numerous podcasts as a guest discussing numerous topics including organized crime, politics, his autobiography and all his books.

On the night of September 07th, 1996, Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight were riding in a black BMW 750iL sedan and were headed to Knight’s Death Row Record nightclub, Club 662 (MOB) in Las Vegas. Earlier that evening, Shakur, Knight and their entourage attended the Mike Tyson fight at the MGM Grand. After the fight, members of the entourage spotted Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, a Southside Compton Crip who allegedly had robbed a Death Row chain medallion from one of them earlier that year. Immediately, the group assaulted Anderson for stealing the medallion in the lobby of the MGM Grand while the hotel’s surveillance cameras recorded the assault.

At around 11:15 p.m., a white, four-door, late model Cadillac sedan pulled up to the passenger side of the black BMW that Suge Knight was driving while Tupac Shakur was in the passenger seat. An occupant in the white Cadillac opened fire striking Shakur four times.

After twenty-seven years, local authorities arrested Duane “Keefe-D” Davis in connection to the murder of Tupac Shakur. Davis had written about and talked about being present when his nephew Orlando Anderson allegedly shot and killed Shakur that evening in Las Vegas while they were inside the white Cadillac. According to Davis, his nephew used a Glock .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol when he shot Shakur four times and then drove back to their hotel room.

The circumstances that led to Davis’s arrest should have happened years earlier but only after his constant remarks about his involvement during online interviews and writing about it finally resulted with his arrest on September 29th, 2023. This is the story of that evening and the events that transpired since Shakur’s murder including an all-out gang war between Bloods and Crips in Compton and the murder of another rapper Christopher Wallace, aka Biggie Smalls.

Captured By COVID, Deceit, Conspiracy and Death – A True Story
www.mikebowers.net

Captured by COVID is an emotional journey that begs to question… Is reality real? How would you know?

The accounts of Captured by COVID are true; every line, word, letter…. The images, smell, feel of everything was and still is vivid in his mind; yet he struggles to talk about this ordeal with anyone. He chronicled every thought, vision and smell, right down to the color of Sara's lipstick, as a means to help cope with his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

For a long period of time, he didn't know who he could trust or who was behind the conspiracy to end his life. It was several months and the writing of Captured By COVID before Bowers had the courage to talk about the horrors he endured.

Bowers had lost every muscle in his body. He was intubated, on a vent, and unable to talk. Everything around him was strange. He had no control over his body or his life. Heavily drugged, he was unable to tell which world he was in. The fear of the unknown increased his anxiety and was driving him insane.

“Captured by Covid's vivid descriptions of Mike's harrowing experiences led me on a journey that I was not expecting.”

"Amazing read, couldn't put it down. Incredible story about fighting through adversity and overwhelming challenges. Well written."

"Captured By COVID was a totally consuming read for me. I was gripped by the graphic "other worldly" details of what he silently endured...”

“I was truly in awe and disbelief while reading this book. It was a true roller coaster ride!”

“A riveting story of chaos and hopelessness.”

Richard McCann | 100 comments The Mathews Men ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
William Geroux laid out for all to see just how the Merchant Marine sailed into harm's way despite the lack of support and even contempt by many to ensure that the supplies and men needed to fight on land and sea were supplied and replenished. He brought to life the men who sailed and the families that waited for their return in a beautifully wrote saga of the war. It's very hard to make historically correct history into a compelling read, but he succeeded beyond that and brought to life the story of a small community and the contribution they provided to winning World War II. For any WW II history buff this is a must read! For everyone else, this should be required reading so that the story of so many brave souls is remembered for their contribution to an allied victory. Well done Mr. Geroux and thank you for bringing this story alive and to its proper place in history!

Sammie (sammiemarsalli) | 10 comments I realize there are other "amateur home caregivers" like me on their own trying to take care of a loved one with Alzheimer's Disease.

Like everyone I had to learn the hard way by trial and error 24/7 for 6 years to mitigate tremendous changes in behavior with my wife. It's not easy as she was in the beginning of the advanced stages unable to speak.

My second book “62 Tips For Caregivers of Alzheimer´s To Delay Shutdown” defines what it means to be a home caregiver of a loved one with Alzheimer's on the loneliest possible life journey.

It details how caregivers are up against a huge wall of emotions that work aggressively against their efforts when trying to care give for a family member with Alzheimer's.

Caregiving for a loved one with Alzheimer's without any outside help is extremely difficult but in most cases there is no other option. Outside professional help cannot respond “in real time” when radical behavioral changes occur. Only home caregivers can. There are no two profile behavioral changes alike, not even in the same stage of the disease.

There isn't a standard therapy to apply. There are no fixed "do this'' and "do that" rules, or a “to do list” for the caregiver to follow. Even the stages of Alzheimer's vary in their characteristics. Hospice Care begins at home the very first day it is diagnosed.

This book can possibly be a shortcut for caregivers as it details experiences from successes and failures from a home caregiver as a guide to deal with these behavioral changes. “What worked for me may not work for you.” Caregivers are completely on their own.

Detailed are my own invented personalized therapies and activities that can empower a caregiver with new tools and strategies from an experienced home caregiver to mitigate “in real time” changes of behavior of their loved one.

Readers who identify as home caregivers will sacrifice whatever it takes, suspend any activity we enjoy, ignore our basic necessities, and neglect our health to prevent our loved ones from shutting down.

Hopefully this book will provide that much needed guidance, support and instill confidence and hope to those navigating the loneliest journey of their lives.

Stephen Koreivo (httpswwwcollegefootballfancom) | 13 comments Fifty Years of Tailgate Tales: The Good, the Fun and the Ugly regale in the Author’s good, fun and unique life-long adventure. For over fifty years, he’s traveled to 37 states and to 179 different stadiums to attend 676 college football games. Stories tell of attending most of his first games to see every Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) team play at least once. He follows those tales to see the same team play their best game he ever attended.
He doesn’t dwell on game action or statistics. Instead, he entertains and intertwines tales of his life-long adventure. It includes humorous tales; how he balanced family life, friendships and his career with this passion; and well-planned and sometimes poorly planned travel experiences around the country. In the end, he summarizes concerns about recent changes that will tend to make college football less competitive among all teams rather than more competitive. Teams raking in the most money remain on top. Top programs now leverage NIL money through “collectives” to lure players from other programs. Transfer portals allow players to leave teams and play elsewhere, basically when and where they want. Loyalty, teamwork, and commitment are still intangibles that should be learned outside of a classroom. Instead, more focus goes on to support colleges financially beyond athletics.
Granted, players deserve some share of that revenue, but how can this be done while avoiding “pay for play?” He offers solutions. Beyond college, the vast majority of players pursue careers outside professional sports. The intangibles taught by the sport are lessons well-learned for life. We have greater opportunities to connect with others; however, we are more disconnected than ever before. We have all the information of the world at our fingertips but shorter attention spans than ever before. What are we doing to ourselves? We have everything other generations could only dream about; however, we can never find our peace, contentment, or joy. We feel pressure to go faster and faster while getting nowhere. This book will briefly explain how less is more and how immediate happiness might lead to a life of disappointment, discouragement, and depression. When William J. Lee wrote Us in 1974 he was concerned about our future – many of those problems still exist today.

“Why should anything I think or say have any degree of wisdom or any bearing on anyone else or the future? I cannot give the answer. All I know and feel (as I am sure so many thousands throughout the world feel and have felt throughout generations) is that the people who have lived and who now live on this planet Earth have not succeeded in so ordering their lives to live in peace and harmony with each other to obtain the best return for their labours and from the resources available to the world.

To the contrary I consider humanity is racing towards destruction at least economically if not physically.

In this climate therefore I have felt obliged to write this since I do believe that I shall pass through this world but this once and therefore if I can do anything to highlight our desperate situation in the hope that it may inspire as many as possible of Us to do something for ourselves and future generations I shall feel that I have not lived in vain.”

Steffen Reckert | 3 comments In this thought-provoking book, the author examines the fascinating story of how one of the greatest philosophers of all time, Nietzsche, brought down a value system in 1884, and what we can learn from it to live up to the buzzword "disruptive". Through the eyes of Nietzsche's Zarathustra, a prominent figure in philosophical scholarship, readers are taken on a journey to discover how the requirements for a great leader have changed over the last 140 years. Drawing on scientific studies, personal experiences, and other management literature, the book offers practical insights on how anyone can become a great leader, regardless of their background, gender, or other characteristics, if they have a philosophy of work.

With a mix of long-forgotten virtues, disruptive approaches, and a glimpse into the future of work, this book challenges traditional management concepts and offers a fresh perspective on what it means to be a great leader. The author cleverly translates Nietzsche's speeches into today's world of management culture, highlighting the significant influence that his teachings have on much of the literature today.

Part 1 and 2 of Nietzsche's masterpiece are covered in this book, taking readers on a rocky road to understanding what it takes to become a truly great leader. With entertaining and at times shocking examples drawn from the author's career, this book is a must-read for anyone who wants to embrace disruptive thinking and leadership in the modern age.
