Cindy Clemens (cindyclemens) | 3 comments Hi Everyone,

I have a business book. Today only (3/7) The Kindle version is $.99. I would LOVE it if a few people would pick up a copy and then do at least a rating on Goodreads for us :)

Here is a link to find it directly without having to search: http://ymubooks.com/getkindle

Here is a bit about it:
Marketing Tidbits: 50 Quick and Easy Ways to Grow Your Business

“But isn’t marketing hard and expensive?”

It’s a question that’s all too common. The common myth for most budding entrepreneurs is that marketing is about having big budgets and billboards.

The truth is, marketing is in everything we do. Everything from convincing prospects our products are the best choice to getting our kids to eat their veggies.

It’s all marketing and it’s in everything we do in our daily lives.

For those of us who are in business, marketing can seem overwhelming and distracting.

If you’re in business and are running in a thousand directions to get things rolling, this book is just for you. Every marketing tidbit in this book is designed to keep it simple and show you that marketing is in everything we do. It’s not an event, it’s a way of life and we’re all doing it anyway. Let’s do it the right way and keep things simple.

Read this book one chapter at a time and take action immediately. Marketing Tidbits are small chucks of marketing wisdom you can implement without much effort and without spending even $1 more on your current marketing

Thanks everyone!

Liza Lugo Liza LugoHow Do Hurricane Katrina's Winds Blow?: Racism in 21st-Century New Orleans

How Do Hurricane Katrina’s Winds Blow? Racism in 21st Century New Orleans,by UF Law alumna and legal scholar Liza Lugo, JD, was released worldwide by ABC-CLIO Praeger Publishing on March 31, 2014.

How Do Hurricane Katrina’s Winds Blow? is the second book in Praeger Publishing’s new series Racism in American Institutions, a series that, according to series editor, Brian D. Behnken, “examines the ways in which racism has become, and remains, a part of the fabric of many American institutions.” Lugo explains in the book: “What we are now witnessing in the 21st century is the fracture or complete breakdown of families, societies, and governments as a result of centuries of dehumanization that have taken a toll. More natural disasters (tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, etc.) merely uncover the reality of the national disasters we have created by granting sanctuary to dehumanization via the law.” That dehumanization disproportionately affected racial and gender minorities.

According to Antonio R. Flores, President and CEO, Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, How Do Hurricane Katrina’s Winds Blow? is: “...an eye-opening examination of the galvanization of forces across decades that targeted a specific segment of the American populace, ending in the tragic fragmentation of individuals, families, and communities from the American way of life that is espoused to cherish life, liberty, and equality.”

How Do Hurricane Katrina’s Winds Blow? Racism in 21st Century New Orleans is available now on Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, numerous college bookstores, and via the publisher’s website at: http://www.abc-clio.com/product.aspx?....

Ms. Lugo received her juris doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in government and world affairs from the University of Tampa where she graduated magna cum laude. Book tour stops include El Paso, TX; New Orleans, LA; Huntington, NY; and the Tampa Bay area. Additional locations are being added to the tour.

Kswaxman | 2 comments Hi. I have just published Ajak's Song. Ajak's Song is a narrative of my experience as a surgeon working in South Sudan with Doctors Without Borders. I have attempted to take the reader with me on a journey to a Dinka village in the heart of South Sudan. There we experience a land of fierce beauty and magical tribal culture, juxtaposed with the tragedy of untreated disease and injury. As our appreciation of our village and it's people unfolds, we begin to understand that despite the ravages of the past and the suffering of the present, South Sudan is filled with hope for the future. Ajak is a young girl whose leg is nearly lost from a terrible snake bite. I operate on Ajak multiple times in desperate attempt to save her leg. Each time she awakens from anesthesia, Ajak opens her eyes, smiles, and begins to sing a beautiful song of hope.

Nihar Suthar (niharsuthar) | 383 comments Hi everybody!

My name is Nihar Suthar and I am a college student at Cornell. I am also an author who writes inspirational books.

I published a book titled Win No Matter What: A Guide to Hyping Up Your Life last year. Now, I am working on a new book titled "The Corridor of Uncertainty." The book is about the Afghanistan cricket team. I have already started it, but to finish a lot of my research, I have to actually go to Pakistan/Afghanistan to experience the refugee camps that the cricket players grew up in, the environment, etc. This is quite expensive for an 18-year old kid...haha! It would mean so much to me if you could donate a few dollars on the link below so that I can finish up my research and the book in the next few months:
