Do you find a lot of symbolism in the book so far?

One of the things I found symbolic is death itself. It is one of the main themes of the book. Death is the narrator and he talks about how he takes the souls of those who die. The theme symbolises the fact that death is a part of life , it is part of the cycle of life. When our number is up, it is time to go.
I think another thing that is symbolic is the way things are during the book and how it makes you appreciate your own situation and what you have and who you have. For example how the people in Molching can barely afford the simplest essentials.
