has anyone read this? i don't understand where it came from. absolutely no comparison to any of her other books. after reading that and bluebeard's egg i wouldn't even guess it was written by the same person.
was anyone else bothered by the repertitive themes in this book?
I haven't read all of her books, but the ones I have read are HUGELY different. Not only in theme, but in overall style. I guess it allows her to appeal to a larger audience, but it also makes me less likely to read a book just because she wrote it! I am struggling through The Blind Assassin right now, which mixes a bit of the sci-fi and the memoir narrative.
