RETRODOLL I read this book years ago when it was an Oprah's book club selection. I remember a lot of her viewers/readers thought it was too controversial of a pick because of the incest plot line. I say to that 'so what?' Yes it was disturbing, sometimes books are. But this was a great emotional book and based off of Nina's suggestions maybe I will try another one of her books :)

Shelly I also read this when oft was an Oprah selection.. lived it.. Didn't know she has written others.. Will have to check those out.

Amanda Joyce Woods I also loved this book. I recommend it here at the library to our patrons on a weekly basis!

Amber I loved this book when I read it years ago. It was the first book I read by this author and I have gone on to read all of her books. Loved them all. Is it a bit dark? Sure... but the characters and plot draw you in and her writing makes it impossible for you to put it down... in my eyes, that's a great writer even if you can't get past the disturbing parts of the story. (Although I still found the story to be an amazing one.) I highly recommend this one.

Patty I highly recommend this book as well. It was wickedly written. I loved how it went back in forth in time. Although it is fiction it made me wonder what else might of happened in these children's life that they also do not remember, and what are their parameters for what is right and wrong in life. They had so little.

This is the first time I have read anything by this author but will check out other books she has written. I was surprised that this book was written by a woman.

Linda My heart went out to the young man! Could not get the help he needed until it was too late. But I am glad I read the book!

David Freas Sorry, I could not get into it. Nothing that happened in the first 70 pages (4 chapters) made me want to read on, so I quit.
