In case you've forgotten, Amorentia is that really strong love potion Slughorn shows them in potions. It smells different to everyone, whatever it is that you like. (Hermione's is parchment, grass, and she gets cut off for the last one...) I'm curious to see what people's think theirs would be.

A lot of people think the last one was the smell of Ron's hair. :)

Eleanor Meka wrote: "...the smell of rain."

I've heard people say that before, but what does rain smell like? I wouldn't say I've ever smelled something before it rained. It's probably different for you :) Probably my dysfunctional nose ;(

Meka Eleanor wrote:"but what does rain smell like?"
Rain is hard to explain. It's a lot like fresh air but more noticeable.

Ah right okay. Maybe I haven't noticed because it rains so much here... :)

message 10: by Eleanor (new)

Eleanor Just looked it up. On average, it rains 153 days of the year here. 153!!

message 11: by Mary (new)

Mary (Literarypiesociety) | 129 comments Wow! That is a lot of rain. I wouldn't say we get a lot of rain, but we do get rain.

And I agree about the smell. I usually like the smell unless the rain just brings a lot of humidity. :P

Ikr! And the rest of the time it can't quite decide whether to rain or not, so stays cloudy. I basically live in the Forks of Europe :p x

message 13: by Madilyn (new)
