As you all know the book fair starts soon.
I would appreciate if you have any recommendations for books I shall buy, different genres, Arabic or English is also ok.
So basically, what are you guys planning to buy? :)

Jewel | 41 comments My advice is don't buy English books from the book fair, the best and new books are available in local bookstores. Save your time for Arabic books

As for the other books, BROWSE, it's the best way to go, you'll find books you didn't even now were available, and people usually have different tastes.

Having said that, i hope others recommend some good titles for you, and if you could be more specific with what you like it will make it easier.

Thank you Jewel, do you have any recommendations for Arabic books??
The thing is that we are a group of people so our interests are different, lets say what's your favorite-books list.

Does this mean there's no point going to the book fair for non-Arabic readers like me?
It will be my first time to go if I ever push through with it, so I have no idea what to expect. Thanks!

Jewel | 41 comments For Arabic readers its really good because there is a huge selection of Arabic books that we don't normally have a chance to find in local bookstores, there are also new book launches and author appearances.

I always find the English (fiction) selection lacking and limited, although if you're looking for academic there is a good collection.

But maybe it's different this year.

Samama Reza (samamareza) | 3 comments I love R.L Stine books! You should totally buy and read the Fear Street series. Or you can buy some books of Janet Evonavich, she's a funny writer. Or you can buy the book named as the fault in our stars which is very nice. You can buy the book Girl Online as well. There are so many books you can read if you love reading! Hope I helped. :-)

Samama Reza (samamareza) | 3 comments By the way, when and where is the book fair being held?

message 17: by jade (new)

jade (hisui) | 9 comments I might go later, just to satisfy my curiosity as I've been wanting to go for the past couple of years.

As for book recommendations, it'll be easier to suggest books if you at least tell us what kind of genre you prefer. But, considering you're a guy, you might enjoy Michael Grant's Gone Series or Neal Shusterman's Unwind Dystology. They're both Young Adult Dystopian.

Samama, the book fair opens today until May 13.
