Ruth Rendell passes away

So sad to hear that Ruth Rendell passed away today at age 85. I have long been a fan of her Inspector Wexford series. My two favorite stand-alone novels by her are "The tree of hands" and under her pseudonym Barbara Vine "The Brimstone Wedding".
May she rest in peace.

Now she and PD James are both gone, leaving a real hole in the British mystery genre.

How sad. I enjoy (and revisit) her books regularly :( I hadn't heard about her passing.
