Emma Well... it was rumoured to come out May 1st and it didn't, but James Dashner tweeted that it's definitely this month. I'll post it here when it does :)

message 2: by Jace (new)

Jace I wonder if its gonna be as good as the first. It might flop.

Emma I've heard it picks up quite well.

message 4: by Jace (new)

Jace I'll take your word for it.I just hope they don't ruin the franchise

Kelly Brigid ♡ When the movie comes out I'm going to try to not compare it to the book that much, so I could just enjoy it as a movie.

Emma Yeah, don't do that. It's going to be very different from the book.

But I have every faith!! I LOVED the first movie, I've seen it like 1000 times. I know it was really different from the book but still... It was a good movie. The cast is amazing and I loved the Glade. I was impressed, and I'm very much so looking forward to the second movie.

Kelly Brigid ♡ I think it will be pretty good, (I really liked the first movie) but since Wes Ball said it will deviate from the book I'm going to try really hard not to note every detail that's different, haha.

Emma I dont even care. The sooner that certain b**** I hate dies the better.

Kelly Brigid ♡ Well said. :)

Ilana i'm actually really interested in seeing how they recreate the landscape that's in the 2nd book since Dashner did a really good job in describing it and painting this really vivid picture for us.

Emma They filmed in Mexico. I've never been but seen pictures and it looks pretty much like what I imagined.

Emma What do we think of this? http://www.hypable.com/scorch-trials-...

Pitch Perfect 2 has already released where I am... Who knows, maybe I'll see it when I see the movie tomorrow? ;)

mj I'm not seeing any sign of a trailer yet but I found this which is cool. It's really neat to see some behind-the-scenes stuff. It's looking good!

mj Also, Dashner says he doesn't know anything about an unexpected death.

"And the prologue will be written from Newt’s perspective?"

"A prologue can feel separate from the main storyline, so I thought I could get away with it being from a different point of view."

And the tears will be sure to come...

Emma http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2015-0... This is an interesting read.

If you don't already know (which you should) the trailer comes out tomorrow, and the poster is also out :)

Emma But, like, wow?

There is literally NOTHING in that trailer from the book. Nothing.

First of all, piss off Teresa! You ain't supposed to be there girl. And those things in the giant test tubes? Grievers? And they escape to run away from wicked? Come oooooooooon

Nikita Watched the trailer. OMG! I am so excited!

message 22: by Emma (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emma Tbh I was/am most excited for all the new characters: aris, brenda, jorge, group b. Aris looks great but where is erryone else?

Kelly Brigid ♡ I already knew the movie was going to deviate more from the book that The Maze Runner did, but wow, that trailer looked incredible.

@Emma Since this is a teaser, I wasn't surprised that they didn't introduce Brenda or Jorge. I'm sure we'll see them in the theatrical trailer.

message 24: by Emma (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emma Kelly, no, this trailer isn't a teaser, it's official. But of course hopefully there'll be a second trailer as well.

Kelly Brigid ♡ Oh shoot, I thought it was a teaser. But, there should definitely be a more in-depth trailer before September.

message 26: by Emma (last edited May 20, 2015 05:59PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emma I would imagine so. And also... in this interview the actor who plays Jorge said Brenda was his daughter... waaa :'(

Emma No dw she's not.

message 28: by Mich (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mich But nothing is weirder than seeing Petyr Baelish wearing black leather jacket. *GoT fans will understand*

Nothing is weirder than seeing petyr baelish speaking with an American accent #wot

Well, I don't really see how that would affect the plot one way or the other. I'm just not going to question why Jorge is Hispanic and his daughter is Canadian. lol

message 31: by Emma (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emma There were a lot of very confused fans on Twitter and Wyck Godfrey (the producer) responded with: SHES NOT. (his daughter), just a father figure.

Kelly Brigid ♡ Oh okay. Cool.

message 33: by Ree (new) - rated it 3 stars

Ree The trailer looks really good! And I'm glad that they seem to deviate from the book, since in my honest opinion the series really could have done with some improvements and it would be great if it were realized in the movies. You know, maybe a little more straightforward explanations and less pointless fighting scenes.

message 34: by Alex (new) - rated it 5 stars

Alex Whelan Im really excited for the movie, the trailer made it look as good as I could expect. I'm sure not everything will be the same as the book, but that's okay since it's an adaptation. I'm so excited!!

message 35: by Emma (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emma @Ree can I please get an example of a pointless fighting scene?

message 36: by Ree (new) - rated it 3 stars

Ree Emma wrote: "@Ree can I please get an example of a pointless fighting scene?"

I mean pointless in the sense that it doesn't further the plot. Of course the gladers have to fight to survive the Scorch, but is it really necesseray to have twenty examples of that? I love to read a good action scene, but when it starts to feel like those scenes are only fillers to add more pages to the book (and that it did for me) and they're not actually bringing anything new to the table, then I begin to get annoyed and even bored with it. So, it's not a specific fighting scene that I see as pointless, but rather the amount of them and how they were used in the greater context of the series.

message 37: by Alex (new) - rated it 5 stars

Alex Whelan I don't think the fighting scenes are pointless, the were important to the plot and added to the series.
