Author Ruth Rendell died on Saturday morning in London. She was 85 years-old. Ms. Rendell, who sometimes used the pen name Barbara Vine, wrote 60 crime/mystery novels, 20 of which featured the main character, Chief Inspector Wexford. Her final novel will be published in October by Penguin Random House.
