Kris Calvin (kriscalvin) | 9 comments If a bookshop hosts a reading for an author on a mystery/thriller, is it ok with you if the author chooses an exciting/climactic scene to read from, even if it gives something away? I hate spoilers, I don't like trailers for movies for that reason. I want every scene to be a surprise.

Nancy Hausladen (nancyjoh) | 32 comments No, he should not give away anything away. If he reads anything it should be the beginning of the book. I love a mystery that gets you on the first page. There are a few authors that can do that
