Glad you had a good Nora book, Liz! Sorry you didn't like Reconstructing Amelia. Perhaps it was the audio that drew me into it. The narration was really good, especially Amelia's voice which was haunting. There haven't been many posts on the group read topics for it yet. I had the same problems with Reconstructing Amelia as you but, like Ann, found the narration of the audio so well done that I decided it was worth the listening time.
Funny thing about the audio, just can't get into it. If I had a longer drive to work, I might give it a go, but a 5 minute drive isn't conducive to much listening. If I try and listen with heads phones at home, I feel like I am sitting there wasting time, which is totally crazy, but my weird little quirk! Like Dan says, on to May!!
A five minute commute sounds nice, Liz! I've never had one less than twenty minutes. Audio books are my sanity. I can't just sit and listen either, at home if I do that I fall asleep. ;0
I get lots of listening done at home, as I listen while doing dishes, laundry, cleaning up around the house, gardening. If I could only listen in the car I wouldn't get very far either!
I'm a Kruger fan, glad to see the series is pretty good.

I'm still reading reconstructing amelia. it's not that I'm not liking it. It's more that my other books have been grabbing me. too many books going at the same time. Alot of arcs to read/review. I have the nora book on the nook I believe. I hope to get to it soon.
10. RECONSTRUCTING AMELIA by Kimberly McCreight 2/5 I think this was a classic case of the wrong book at the wrong time. Seemed to drag. Every chapter was too long, too dramatic and yet superficial. Didn't like any of the characters, except maybe the detective and we didn't get near enough of him. Story about a mom who tries to reconstruct her daughters death...suicide or murder?
11. BLACKBERRY SUMMER by RaeAnne Thayne 3/5 Divorced mom of 2 gets into car wreck that may or may not be the town's bad boy turned good cop's fault. Most of the book is wishy washy of mutual attraction yet failure to admit and commit. Fast read, and I think there may be something to this series, so I will continue on.
12. BOUNDARY WATERS by William Kent Krueger 3/5 Well written, good mystery about a missing famous singer and the men, good and bad, who are trying to find her. On now to the third book.
13. THE LIAR by Nora Roberts 5/5 Totally Nora, totally great characters, great location, great plot. A little slow start, and pretty predictable, but still scores a 5 with me. Young widow returns home to family and friends. As she struggles to regain a normal life, pieces of her old life resurface, and a good mystery ensues. Love the strong male love interest, love her brothers, friends and family! Great comfort read!!!
