SOLVED. Children's picture book about a girl and an alien - possibly named Jenny and Juppie [s]

I read this book as an young elementary school child in the 80's. I believe it was about a girl named Jenny and her alien friend named Juppie. There were colorful pictures that showed them both on earth and in space. Not positive, but I remember it being a paperback.
