I'm so curious to know what kind of past Belial and Raffe share. I hope we get some of that. (Excuse any name misspellings. The audio doesn't help with that. LOL)

I had to stop for a few hours and actually do some work :P Just starting Ch. 17 now. It's hard to believe this is the last book. It doesn't seem like it's enough for a conclusion. I have faith it will end well though.

I don't remember where things are in the book so I'll just put it all under Ch. 17 spoilers.

My heart just breaks for her. She's starving and even though Penryn is trying to look out for her, Paige is still all alone :( And the Doc is referring to Paige as the secret weapon. How so?

I admit, I felt bad for Beliel during the vision. He's still a total turd but at least I'm beginning to understand why he's so bitter and hateful now.

They've just made it back to the resistance camp and Dee & Dum are excited about Raffe. They don't realize what/who he really is. It will be interesting to see that play out. (hide spoiler)]

At that point I was thinking too it didn't seem like she could wrap it all up either. Just finished ch 33 and it just set it all up (I think lol). The election scene was creepy!

The humans rallied together and kicked butt. Or made a good start on it :) Just like in the movies, haha!

A couple of things though...

I was a little disappointed with the big Paige reveal in the final battle. I mean, I was expecting some huge 'secret weapon' to come out. She defeated the big bad Locust guy and became their Queen. Okay. That's a given right? I guess I was hoping for something new from her. Something that would surprise me. Like she sprouts wings herself, or she hulks out or she takes control of the 600 people.

Next, I was so not expecting Raffe to give up his wings! I cried out with Penryn when they got cut off again. But I guess that was his big sacrifice to save her. Aaaawww. Well, at least he got some wings back.

The last bit when she was making him spell out his feelings for her-too funny! I really enjoyed that part. I liked the Watchers too.

But I freaking loved the crazy Mother in this one, lol. She definitely stole the show a few times. (hide spoiler)]
