I would love to do the same for you.I am always working to dribble the bread crumbs in the first chapter to lead my readers on and on...before they know it...THE END! Visit my blog and see the video insert on Sulley and Mike. We can all learn a lesson from Boo's perspective on FEAR. http://mikecoe.blogspot.com/2010/08/f...

LK Hunsaker (lkhunsaker) | 4 comments Hello! Thanks for the invitation!

I'm an avid reader. My favorite genres are literary (classic and recent) and historical, but I tend to read a bit of this and that.

I'm also a novelist, currently with 6 novels and a children's picture book out there to be found. My work is a cross of literary fiction and romance. Yes, it's a strange blend, but when I can get someone to try it, they generally tend to think it works. ;-) Think Anna Karenina but with more emphasis on one love relationship and more dialogue and humor. Or blend John Irving with Nicholas Sparks and a touch of Marilynne Robinson.

Nice to be here. I'll pop in as I can!

Ian (atomicfez) Hello All;

I'm the 'brains' behind Atomic Fez Publishing, which released Dirk Danger Loves Life a month or so ago, about which Rick said:
brilliant--unique book--so very well written--a true original-- very highly recommended. Character, plot and locations so finely drawn! A James Mason Community Book Club 'MUST READ' 5/5
Also, I regularly point at dwain and laugh. Everyone needs a hobby.

Hi Rick and everyone, thanks for the invitation. I'm a bit slow when it comes to Goodreads but I'm trying to be more active on here! I'm a professional writer by trade (journalist) and author of the novella Airmail. But my whole life I have been a reader; writing books hasn't taken away any of my love for getting lost in fiction, and I'll try almost any genre. I'm looking forward to reading along with you guys, and hopefully discovering some wonderful new books and authors.

Pierre Rooyen (httpwwwgoodreadscompierre) | 27 comments In my family, it's the girls wot got all the brains and us guys just sit around sucking our thumbs or scratching our heads and letting the bird-seed pour out.

I mean, when your daughter starts getting the better of you from the age seven, you realise that women do indeed run the world. Even the short ones. I used to get her back by spraying her with the garden hose when I was in the garden and she was in the house. That was a lot of fun. But, darn it, it was always me who had to clean up the mess.

I'm Pierre, by the way. I did insist my children call me Sir, but they just laughed. Both my son and my daughter.

After they grew up and left home, Faith and I decided to leave home too. We threw up our jobs, sold everything and got an old sail boat cheap. It took a year to fix up. Both of us sweating our guts out.

Now, we two have been at sea ever since. We live aboard. (Guess who the skipper is.)

Faith writes about our adventures, around forty voyages, and illustrates them with photographs, roughly 100. Her site is quite snazzy.

http://sites.google.com/site/yachtsenta/

I have two successful novels on Goodreads, Saturdays Are Gold and The Girl Who Tweaked Two Lions' Tails.

Both are on Goodreads Giveaway promotion, and The Girl can be read free on Goodreads ebooks, or downloaded free from Smashwords.

Although we live cheaply on the boat and wouldn't mind a few more pennies, I value readership more than I do dollars.

And I'm quite happy to have my head chewed off by reviewers. Sticks and stones can break my bones ... sort of thing.

Seeya,

Pierre

Eating Smoke: One Man's Descent Into Drug Psychosis in Hong Kong's Triad Heartland - a memoir

Chris Thrall left the Royal Marines to find fortune in Hong Kong, but following a bizarre series of jobs ended up homeless and addicted to crystal methamphetamine.

He began working for the 14K, one of Hong Kong’s notorious crime syndicates, as a nightclub doorman in the Wan Chai red-light district.

Dealing with psychosis, conspiracy and the ‘foreign triad’ — a secretive expat clique that works hand-in-hand with the Chinese mafia — he had to survive in the world’s most unforgiving city, addicted to the world’s most dangerous drug . . .

David (author-guide) | 7 comments Hello everyone,

I am the marketing and publicity manager for Oceanview Publishing, based on Longboat Key, Florida. And yes, you are welcome to visit, but no, I don't have a spare bedroom. More importantly, I a lover of most all books. I did break down and buy a Kindle, but I use it mainly to read manuscripts.

Oceanview Publishing is an independent publisher of mystery, thriller and suspense genre. Luckily, I enjoy all three. I grew up enjoying Alfred Hitchcock, and of all the options out there, would rather watch his original black and white masterpieces than an Imax 3-D.

Thank you for the invite. I will probably lurk a bit, but hope to join in on discussions as much as possible.
