Jenn Sarver | 2 comments I'm trying to find out the name of a children's book I read often as a kid between the years of 1985-1989. It was about a child that tries to make his parents cookies but accidentally uses salt instead of sugar and ruins them. Instead of admitting that they accidentally used salt instead of sugar, they made up a story about how a mischievous genie came and switched the ingredients on them. I want to say it was aimed as a moral story, telling kids not to lie. I was also almost positive that it was a "Little Golden" book, but have had no luck in finding it.

Anyone have any idea of the title of this book?

So, I Read This Book Today (leiahingolden) | 69 comments Little Golden Books is now Random House (if it wasn't before, I am not sure?)

Their site is: http://tinyurl.com/muxzzj3

An alphabetical list of LGBs: http://www.goldenbook.com/article.php...

The Warman's Guide is out of print and deathly expensive. :-(

If you don't find it with help from the wonderful members of the group, there are many collectors out there who may be able to help you, even if they aren't on Goodreads.

Good luck!
Leiah
