Boo Boo Kitty He was caught stealing from the Frasers, I think.

message 256: by Sue (new)

Sue Erickson | 673 comments He was caught by the Frasers and given a choice. Fingers or an eye so that he couldn't use his bow and arrow again. But we learned what he sure can do with an axe!! :)

message 257: by Gwennie, biblioholic (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 3151 comments Awesome! Please remember to post a question.

Carol | 193 comments He was caught by the Grant and given the choice.

message 262: by Sue (new)

Sue Erickson | 673 comments Correct Chris!

message 263: by Catherine (last edited Nov 11, 2011 11:45AM) (new)

Catherine | 288 comments Roger's mum...can't remember what her name was..but she had the green eyes and was executed for witchcraft..when Jamie rescued Claire..she was about to be burnt at the stke or drowned..can't remember that either! lol
if you remember...she and Roger and Brie witnessed her eventual return to the past!

message 264: by Carren (new)

Carren Kay | 953 comments It wasn't Roger's mother, but a relative none the less. Her name was Geillis Duncan.

message 265: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments I thought she was Roger's mum..she was from the future as well...and she met(inadvertantly) Claire.

message 266: by Carren (new)

Carren Kay | 953 comments Not Roger's mother, but a relative. Not sure where she falls into the family tree. She's the one who became pregnant with Dougal MacKenzie's child.

message 267: by Catherine (last edited Nov 11, 2011 12:01PM) (new)

Catherine | 288 comments Carren wrote: "Not Roger's mother, but a relative. Not sure where she falls into the family tree. She's the one who became pregnant with Dougal MacKenzie's child."

ok...but is that correct?
is she the one who promted her return?

message 268: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments I am having a brain fart! lol

message 269: by Carren (new)

Carren Kay | 953 comments OK, so I'm having one too. It wasn't Geille (SP?) that he was related to, but the child that she had with Dougal. Roger's related to Dougal, way down the line.

I know the one that answers the question has to come up with the next, but it'll have wait until I get home. I just can't think right now, Friday and all.

message 270: by Carren (new)

Carren Kay | 953 comments OK, I got one --

What did LJ give to Claire as a "wedding present"?

message 271: by Fawn (new)

Fawn | 404 comments I think Carren is correct, Roger's Mum was Dolly not having anything to do with witch craft. Roger is the great great great great great great grandson of Geile and Dougal. A "descendant" but not the son of. DG has explained this in great detail in the Outlandish Companion. If you can get your hands on that most questions are answered there. (looking forward to The Outlandish Companion 2)

message 272: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments I could sweart that she was living with Roger as child in the future! lol

message 273: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments you are right...she's not his mum...his parents died and he lived with his uncle..sorry...but still was she the one who prompted Claire's return to the future?

message 274: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments ok..that question about Geillis Duncan was Carrens...I want to know if I was correct about her prompting Claire's return...that's all...I realise that I incorrectly said she was Roger's mum...but that wasn't the question. if I was correct..I have a question too! :)

message 275: by Gwennie, biblioholic (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 3151 comments What do you mean about prompting her return? I'm so lost and I tried reading back up the threads.

Here are the sequence of events as I remember them:

Claire came through the first time on accident, then (view spoiler).

that was the question that Carren asked originally..I think...it got sidetracked when I question wether or not Geillis was Roger's mum..she asked who was the catayst for her return to the future.

message 277: by Sue (new)

Sue Erickson | 673 comments Catherine I'm a little confused with the question too, but Jamie is the one that made her go back. Don't want to spoil too much if people have not read that far.

Catherine | 288 comments Sue wrote: "Catherine I'm a little confused with the question too, but Jamie is the one that made her go back. Don't want to spoil too much if people have not read that far."

I know he made her go back, but he I thought Geillis suggested it earlier..

message 279: by Fawn (new)

Fawn | 404 comments I think the search started to find more about Roger's ancestor and they found that Geillis was studying time travel. I would have to do more research, but that is how I remember it.

Catherine | 288 comments Fawn wrote: "I think the search started to find more about Roger's ancestor and they found that Geillis was studying time travel. I would have to do more research, but that is how I remember it."

but didn't she suggest to Claire to return to the present right before their execution..when Jamie rescued Claire from being drowne? that is what I thought...

maybe we should find another question..

message 281: by Gwennie, biblioholic (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 3151 comments No, she never did that. (view spoiler).

What was the name of the Fraser family dog (the main one)?

message 282: by Sue (new)

Sue Erickson | 673 comments I'll guess Bran.

message 283: by Gwennie, biblioholic (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 3151 comments Yep! You can say another question.

message 284: by Sue (new)

Sue Erickson | 673 comments Staying with animals, what was the name of Jamie's horse from Castle Leoch?

message 285: by Carren (new)

Carren Kay | 953 comments Look at #271. I thought it was my turn, not that it makes a difference, but wasn't the person that answered the question, supposed to ask the next question?
However, Sue, your question is a really good one!

message 286: by Sue (new)

Sue Erickson | 673 comments Sorry Carren. My bad!!!

message 287: by Sue (new)

Sue Erickson | 673 comments Carren I think the answer to your question is a new medical kit.

message 288: by Gwennie, biblioholic (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 3151 comments I'm sorry Carren, I totally missed that.

I'm pretty sure it was a new medical kit too, and the horses name was Donas.

What color was Claire's dress on her wedding day?

Leah (leah_moss) | 91 comments Catherine wrote: "ok..that question about Geillis Duncan was Carrens...I want to know if I was correct about her prompting Claire's return...that's all...I realise that I incorrectly said she was Roger's mum...but t..."

I think the answer to "who prompted Claire's return?" was the Scottish man in her hospital (in her time) that she hastened to his death via Morphine...she was then suspected by a nurse...forced to step down to a desk job. This event promted her to go to Scotland and show & tell Bree her history...which led to her asking Roger to find out if the men of Lallybroch survived Culloden.

Hope that helps. This was an earlier question by someone, and this is the answer they were looking for.

message 290: by Sue (new)

Sue Erickson | 673 comments Wendy as it ivory with a brown overlay? I'm pretty sure about the brown but not sure on the ivory.

message 291: by Gwennie, biblioholic (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 3151 comments I'm pretty sure about the Ivory, so I'm thinking yes. (If I'm remembering right.

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 3151 comments Awesome job Kate, did you have another question?

message 297: by Fawn (new)

Fawn | 404 comments Leah, Thank you. You answered that much better than I did. I should have researched a little more before answering. : )
