Lynn | 2357 comments Here's the new schedule for the first half of next year, including the extra Classics choice left over from the tie in July-Dec. Please let me know if you have questions or see any errors.

Note: the page numbers shown are just approximations due to differences in editions, so take them with a grain of salt. For example, Matt just read the Trollope book and told me his copy was over 700 pages, but when I searched on Amazon I found copies with as few as 460 pages and some that were over 1,000! As a result, I've scheduled that book in March because there's no Classics selection in February - that should give more time to get a head start on it.

January
Classics (starts on the 1st): – Sophie’s Choice by William Styron, nominated by Donna (562 p.)

Reading List (starts on the 15th) – What We Can Know by Ian McEwan, nominated by Ann D. (338 p.)

February
Classics (1st) – no book

Reading List (15th)- Properties of Thirst of Thirst by Marianne Wiggins, nominated by Lyn (544 p.)

March
Classics (1st) – The Way We Live Now by Anthony Trollope, nominated by Barb (~700 p.)

Reading List (15th) – So Far Gone by Jess Walter, nominated by Ann D. (268 p.)

April
Classics (1st) – The Golden Bowl by Henry James, nominated by Barb (210 p.)

Reading List (15th) – The Orphanage by Serhiy Zhadan, nominated by spoko (324 p.)

May
Classics(1st): – The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers, nominated by spoko (359 p.)

Reading List (15th) – The Colony by Audrey Magee, nominated by Gina (376 p.)

June
Classics (1st) – Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie DIllard, nominated by spoko (297 p.)

Reading List (15th) – The Elements by John Boyne, nominated by Lyn (496 p.)

Barbara | 8244 comments Thank you so much for doing this, Lynn. I know it involves a lot of factors and juggling.

Lynn | 2357 comments You're welcome, Barb. I don't mind the juggling - it's like doing a big puzzle. And I consider this as part of my way of showing my thanks to this group that has meant so much to me over the years!
