Hi everyone πŸ‘‹
I’m Mostafizar Rahman, author of The Last Equation of Life, a philosophical science fiction novel that explores the boundary between logic and emotion.

The story follows a mathematician who attempts to decode consciousness through equations β€” only to discover that emotion itself completes the formula of life.

This made me wonder:
Can consciousness truly be explained through mathematics? Or is emotion an essential variable that logic will never grasp?

I’d love to hear your thoughts β€” especially from those who enjoy exploring the intersection of science, philosophy, and human emotion.

(If you’re curious, the book is on Goodreads:https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Dr. Jasmine | 25 comments Hi Mostafizar,

Thank you for introducing your book :) It does sound interesting, and you are right- the interplay between logic and emotion is one of those eternal questions.. what should come first?? Personally, I agree with David :

β€œReason is, and ought only to be the slave of the passions.”
― David Hume

Does it mean that for mathematician it must be ESPECIALLY HARD ( lol) to fall in love...? :)

Have a great day!

Jasmine
