Books about running away to survive in the wilderness/ forest

Hello! I’ve been really wanting to read books about running into the wilderness to camp into the forest after having too much from society. I know books like Into the Wild exist, but I was thinking more realistic fiction. Preferably an m/m romance with the queerness being secondary and not like the central focus, or just generally like a very good male friendship or no romance at all. I’ve been struggling with my own queerness so any book like this would really hit me in my feels.

You might like Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. It’s a really grounded and realistic story about a kid trying to survive after a plane crash in the wilderness. There’s no romance at all, just pure survival and a slow acceptance of solitude.
