Alexis Maragold (alexismaragold) | 1 comments Hi Librarians!

I'm a debut author releasing in 2026 and I'd like to have my book added to Goodreads so readers can begin adding it to their TBR, but my book is not yet published anywhere and I'd like to wait a couple more months until I'm closer to the release date before listing it on Ingram and/or KDP.

Is there an issue with following the standard process of having my non-kindle ebook ISBN (that I own and have assigned through Bowker) added to Goodreads for now, knowing that I’ll likely be adding my book to KU in a few months?

Or will this create a duplicate listing of my book in the Goodreads catalogue once Amazon automatically imports the kindle edition?
