I'll nominate The Mystery of Holy Night. Someone nominated this before and I bought it but haven't read it yet. Was it you, Kiersten? It was either last year or the year before.

It is on the Christmas read list. I'll dust that off before long and post it.

I nominate "In the Beginning..." - A Catholic Understanding of the Story of Creation and the Fall by Pope Benedict VXI/Joseph Ratzinger. I read it a few years ago and it is fabulous. It is fairly short with 100 pages.

Ugh, I didn't read Manny's post thoroughly enough. He is including the Advent/Christmas read. Let's see if we get enough nominations, if not, I can post the list.

Not necessarily Kerstin. The nominated works so far are both very short. And Michelle's might also qualify as a Christmas read. We might be able to do both and perhaps even another short Christmas read. But we would have to start next week.

Oh I missed your nomination Kerstin. Ok. That’s three. We’ll give it another day and if no more nominations I’ll set up a poll.
I put Nov 4th as the poll closing date. I did not notice what time on that date.
Edit: Just checked. 11:59 PM, Pacific Standard Time.

Catholic Fiction
Regular Read
Long Term Read
Catholic Classic
So after Catholic Fiction we have what we refer to as a regular read. This is a book of any genre with the stipulation it has to be Catholic in some fashion. Since we have a category of Catholic Classic, which stipulates it written before 1920 (or something like that, I forget the exact year) we try to give extra consideration to something more recent, though it is not a rule to nominate a classic as well. So let's take a week or so to nominate a read.
