Relatively recently, I published a book on Amazon. Here are the details:
• Title: Engine of Empire: He can't stop the Machine. But he can stop the murder
• Author(s) name(s): Bill Aitken
• ISBN (or ASIN): B0FH2VRMQL
• Publisher: Amazon
• Publication date: 7 July 2025
• Format: Paperback and eBook
• Page count: 420 pages
• Description: A well-known detective of the Victorian era begins investigation to what, at first glance, appears to be a straightforward theft of some expensive items of clothing from a package entrusted to one of the railway companies. Meanwhile, the severed finger of a young woman is discovered in an ash pile belonging to a recycling yard near the Old Bailey. While these events may not seem connected, the full force of a shadowy Government department begins to apply its full force on the detective as he stubbornly pursues the case.
Well, those are the details of the book. However, the book has been attributed to a completely different Bill Aitken - one who lives in India and has written a number of popular travel books. This has happened to me a number of times. So much so, that I have been convinced to use my full name as author on some other books I have written to avoid the issue. It took my some time to convince Amazon to change the details of the book on their site.
My question is, therefore, how do I get the erroneous Bill Aitken changed to my identity. The bio, obviously, is completely wrong.
