Daughters bday today so had family round but ive started this evening .Historicals are not normally my favourite unless pnr / mystery
Well this flew by ( cant believe over 300 pgs) . I enjoyed it , very easy to read but a bit miffed we didnt get an ending to the mystery , presume thats in the next book

It's interesting to see the experience of having a family member with dementia back in these times. It's such a heartbreaking disease.
There was something missing for me, but I don't know if K.J. Charles and Cat Sebastian are just so good that no one can meet that regency romance standard.I could read the rest of the series, but I could also stop here and not lose any sleep over it.
The brother was awful, but the story line with the dad was so heartwarming.
Ive never really got into Cat Sebastian and to be perfectly honest i probably wouldnt have read these if it wasnt for the letter J , im not a mad historical fan unless its pnr or a strong mystery ( the mystery in these doesnt seem to be the main focus) .
