Hi there 👋 I have an upper YA/NA fantasy novella I’m looking for feedback on. I read a variety of genres and would happy to exchange books if you enjoy fantasy
Hi M.M. - Would you be interested in reading / swapping for an epic fantasy? :) If so, please see below info:"Two mystical tribes of priests band together to save their faith and homelands from a profane god that threatens their people.
One snowy day, Ophera of the Stormcallers receives a dire warning that an ancient nefarious cult with a foreign religion has arisen, and encroaches on her tribe’s lands, seeking to…alter the souls of those unfaithful to the Nameless Prophet.
As time is of the essence, the girl is sent on a dire quest to contact the Lifebearers in hopes that both tribes will settle their differences and stand together against the coming menace.
Yet, the other tribe is also facing the decay of the Skytree – an endlessly tall oak – their sanctuary into which they dwell.
To save themselves and earn the favor of their gods, the clans will have to perform vile rituals, suffer sacrilegious acts, summon malevolent shadows and make heinous bargains for power if they hope to gain the might needed to vanquish the unknown god."
Keywords: mystic, gods, shadows, mists, spirituality, ritual, religion, atmospheric
Word Count: 145K (you can read less, of course, same length as your story)
Genre: Epic Mystical Fantasy
For your story, I can offer feedback regarding plot, characters, pacing, worldbuilding, and prose / read flow
You can DM me, or contact me at: authoromdavid@gmail.com
Cheers!
Hwy--at the moment I'd love a chapter by chapter swap for a NA YA intrusion (urban) fantasy--right now I am doing a trilogy. however my mfa is memoir--I know, weird, and poetry, so I'll look at other genres as well. How do I start my own thread asking for a critique partner? I'm not sure how.

Is it a faux pas if I don't have anything to exchange, but I'd still really like to critique, based off of this post?
Hi M.M. Your WIP is intriguing, especially as I am working on a novel similar to yours. I would be very interested in a swap, going with a handful of chapters at a time. Please add me as a friend so we can swap emails. Thanks and happy writing!

Here is the blurb:
When Paige Langley, a young aspiring writer, stumbles upon a mysterious binder filled with a dark and deeply personal story, she is drawn into a world she never expected. The binder belongs to Devon Connors, the enigmatic senior editor at her new school, who harbors a shocking secret: his mother is the reclusive bestselling author Linda Davis. As Paige and Devon grow closer, their connection deepens, but so does the mystery surrounding the binder’s origins—and the ghostly presence that seems to follow them both.
Set against the backdrop of a crumbling neighborhood and the glittering world of literary fame, Death of Ink explores the blurred lines between reality and fiction, the weight of family legacies, and the cost of keeping secrets. As Paige uncovers the truth about Devon’s past, she must confront her own demons and decide how far she’s willing to go for love, ambition, and the chance to rewrite her future.
With its richly drawn characters, atmospheric prose, and a story that lingers long after the final page, Death of Ink is a gripping exploration of the power of stories—and the ghosts they leave behind.
