So sorry for your loss and am praying for you.
I continue to be behind! I'm trying to catch up, but as always, reading is good for my mental health and something I enjoy so even though I'm behind I'm enjoying all of the challenges. I'm finding I really like the Numbered, Title Search and State Challenge. My goal with Numbered is to get from one to twelve and I'm definitely not there but am making my way there. I'm still so many states behind I doubt I'll finish, but I'm really enjoying that one so even once the year is over I'll continue to complete that one on my own. The holiday challenges in this group have become on of my favorite parts of the holidays, as silly as that may sound. Mom life consumes most of my life so it's the one little thing I have for me, so I'm looking forward to that as well as all of the holiday novellas I read around this time of year so even though I'm behind I'm still looking forward to whats ahead. So glad I found this group. Really appreciate all of the time the mods and admins put into the group and challenges as well as the other participants who make the group active!
Crystal, thank you for your sweet words. I love that our group is such a huge blessing to you especially around the holidays.
I have completed these challenges:A-Z Titles (26/26)
Cover (15/15)
I have exceeded my goal in these challenges:
Children's (67/50)
Classics (5/3)
State (11/5)
Europe (9/5)
Single (14/5)
Numbers (10/5)
Proper (42/5) - WOW!
I am almost done these challenges:
Non Fiction (18/20)
Title (14/15) - NEED COLOR
I am on track for these challenges:
Audiobook (17/20)
Decades (27/36)
I'm still behind on these challenges:
Colonial (13/30)
50 States (35/50) - NEED AR, CO, IN, IA, LA, ME, MI, MN, NH, OK, OR, UT, WA, WY
Closing in on all of my goals, and I likely will surpass my original level with the new releases. Each year, I wonder if I've bitten off more than I can chew, and each year, I end up doing just fine. lol
As of today, I'm closing in on my goals and may surpass original levels on a few. I'm trying to get most accomplished by the end of this month since I know reading time will be very limited in December. The four annual challenges I'm working hardest on are:
- 50 states - have 7 remaining (CT, DE, MD, ND, NH, NV, OH)
- ABC/123 - have 21 remaining (5 titles, 7 authors and 9 settings)
- Completed series - need at least six more
- Make a STATEment
I'm really enjoying this quarter's challenges and the 6-month challenges. They are all helping me with the above goals.
I'm slowly catching up. Really glad Grab Bag is an 18 month challenge, because I really like that challenge but am very behind.I still have 24 states to read.
I've not made it far in Trip to the Zoo but hope this weekend to finish the book that will move me forward some spaces.
I need to finish one more series to hit the bottom of the series challenge, but will likely finish more than that. The struggle is series are often set in the same states, so I'm torn between finishing series and reading books set in different states.
Haven't read a lot of New Releases this year. I've found myself wanting to finish authors and finish series, so I'm okay with that.
Still working towards hitting my goal for the Numbered challenge. I don't think I will, but will likely make that an 18 month challenge for myself.
Working towards all the others but these are my focus right now. As well as catching up on the monthly challenges.
I've met or surpassed my original levels. I've probably bumped up to the next level in most of them and will note accordingly when they're done.I'm concentrating on my monthly challenges for the next two months (author and monthly). As well as finishing up some series. Which December monthly will help me finish some of those up ;)
