Merge Editions

I added a placeholder cover art originally and tried to update it to the official cover art. I updated it in Amazon and Barnes & Noble, but it was not reflecting on Goodreads, so I added an alternate cover art and made that the default, but now it is showing two editions of the books. When I try to combine them, it is showing them as 1 edition (with two line items). I would like to delete/archive/hide the placeholder cover. I was told to request a merge to resolve this issue?
