Ahh okay. The more specific, the better. Got it, will try to avoid this unless nothing else works :)

I'll add mine as a Wild Draw 4 then.I should get my prompts for my monthly challenge on 2/26 so I'll be able to claim some other things then.

Sorry, Ashley! With the new page I didn't even see that you had a book that could work!

No worries! I was reading the book anyway and didn't hunt it down for a specific card, so I'm just happy if it counts for a colored card... regular or wild draw 4 is fine!

We're all still reading for February :)

If you can definitely have extras if needed, please let us know that too
It's ideal if none of us have to be stressing to finish at the end...communication is key for us to get 'er done for sure.
Thanks everyone!

I already finished Traitors Gate and Wisteria - I am on track on reading the rest 2 by end of the month
Finished my book for the mini!I'm not going to finish another book before the end of Feb, I think so I'll focus on looking at March
Does the first letter of a series count? For instance, I can read Iron Flame (The empyrean #2) for Red 8 if we can use the E from Empyrean. I've tentatively put it in the spreadsheet, feel free to remove

We can't use series titles, but it could be used for the 2 Red since it is #2 in a series. However, the cover looks to me more orange than red.
If someone else thinks it is red, though, you can definitely use it!
Unfortunately Iron Flame doesn’t have a majority color It does work for the difficult V and I - Violet Sorrengail and Imogen
…and REV…I’ve read this

Thanks again for checking in. I added Harry Potter to the WS as well.
I have about an hour left of audio in The Wedding People so I should finish that one today. After I finish that, I plan to just focus on Most Likely for both audio and physical... so I should have no problem finishing. I am totally fine if someone finishes a book sooner and you decide to replace it though. I will still have to finish it in February for my other challenge though, so if it gets replaced, I will not be planning to postpone finishing until March.
@Ashley...we won't move your books if you plan to finish. Thanks for the update. I hope you are enjoying The Wedding People :)
Tammie wrote: "@Ashley...we won't move your books if you plan to finish. Thanks for the update. I hope you are enjoying The Wedding People :)"I did really enjoy it. It was such a unique story.
@Haswanthi I'm lazy and just don't want to weed through 100 pages of tags :Z
2 and a half days and 12 books left to finish this month! How is everybody doing?I'm almost done with my book to finish Hand 4, and I will have my book in Hand 12 done probably tomorrow. It's only a four hour audiobook, and I don't have anything planned tomorrow other than a few chores, so I should be able to knock it out by Friday no problem.
I know you don't need another update from me, but I'm giving you one anyway. I have about 50 pages left in Most Likely and I'll be done with February. I might start something super short tomorrow for March, but my other challenge the books have to be started and finished in the same month so I don't want to start anything that will set me back too far. I will be planning for those prompts today and tomorrow as well. I'm scoping out some colored covers but some of these prompts are specific so I don't know how much flexibility I'll have when the mini comes around... but we'll see!
Ashley...we captains absolutely live for updates! I'm cuing up several shorts as well...mostly to help with other challenges...I'm a planner ;)
1.5 days to go everyone!
I'm going to start this one tomorrow for an early March finish.
This made me think about nonfiction and I just want to make sure I am remembering correctly. People in nonfiction books cannot count for "characters", right? I claimed 0 Yellow since it is a standalone but I wasn't sure if I should be keeping track of names and such as I read.

You can also use the author for nonfic...
I appreciate everyone getting a good start on color cards...we have our share this round for sure...a good thing...but more difficult.
I may hold off on finishing my last depending on what everyone has. I'll leave it at 75% done for now just in case we can carry it over for next month. Thanks Karen for checking in...
Finished with my last book for this month! It was really fun to get the last 2 done on time.. Now I will read some manga today and tomorrow before gearing up for March.
I have some time to read a book that can fill Hand 15 - 7 - or save it for March - let me know what you all prefer?
Nistha wrote: "I have some time to read a book that can fill Hand 15 - 7 - or save it for March - let me know what you all prefer?"We have 2 PIXIE books to fill those last 2 spots if needed.
If you will finish another book...(you don't have to), let us know...others may want or need to carry a book over. As of this minute, I haven't heard anyone having issues with finishing though.

Perfect...thanks Nistha!
I just finished my last book. While I was updating the spreadsheet I noticed Maria Jo is reading The Great Gilly Hopkins and that brought a smile to my face. I remember literally nothing about that book at all, but I know I really liked it as a kid and I'm pretty sure my copy from childhood is here for my daughter to read when she is older. I should probably read it again before then too.
I just finished Network Effect and added my Completion date on the mini. Looks like the mini is all finished.
Finished my last book for February. I'm now going to check out our March sheet and see what I want to read for our next round :)
May I read A Haunting in the Arctic for 3 Blue ?We can omit the article, correct (I can't remember anymore) ?
Audrey Jane wrote: "May I read A Haunting in the Arctic for 3 Blue ?We can omit the article, correct (I can't remember anymore) ?"
You care correct...articles can be excluded or not.
just 3 more books to go...almost done E.T.!@Ashley please add your last book to your UNO shelf when you see this :)
@ALLWe're climbing up there team...great work :)
🌻Where do we stand - Points SS -> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

E.T.! February is a wrap for us.
We've done very well...so far...and I'll qualify to say there are other teams still needing to update...but for this minute in time bask in the #1 spot of glory :)
As most of you know, UNO is a challenge of chance...it's all in the cards we are drawn...it's fun regardless.
Questions...let us know! Looking forward to a fun March!

Thanks team. I'll take it off and find something else. THe book has been taken out of the library and it's now not available until June anyways

Thanks! I just saw your PM. Sorry I didn't see it earlier
I've added 4 books to the spreadsheet and taken Iron Flame off as it's not available in the library until June. Once I've gotten through these 4 books, I'll look for more. Sorry I haven't been here to chat. Real life got in the way of GR but I did get the books finished for Feb that I set out to.
I just finished
…so good. If you like historical fiction this is a recommended read for you. A bit of a chunkster. The author’s debut…she took 10 yrs to research and write. It’s supposed to be made into a t.v. Series
Tammie wrote: "Perfect Chava…no sorries…love that series…I hope you get the book soon."I rely on audiobooks and I found the perfect rendition with sound effects and everything (a bit intense with the sex scenes but I was in the car going a 100km an hour on the motorway so no harm done, LOL). I was so absorbed in it and then I wasn't able to renew and...yeah, now I have to wait
Hey, sorry for not keeping in touch last week. It was a tough week for the whole college with exams and other things going on. I did read my books, but I couldn’t update the Google Sheets properly. Reading has been my escape and kept me sane through it all. I’ll be more consistent with updates from now on!I have added the books I am planning to read this month and will update you if there are any changes.

The rule for this is a 'specific location'. If a book references the town or 'place' vs the broader state or country, technically we shouldn't use it.
It's such a general rule...that's why I try to avoid it.
As another example...let's say a I read a book set in New York City.
Now that is a pretty specific location; however, if the location is really Manhatten, NYC shouldn't be used. Hopefully this makes sense.
If you like, you can still indicate the location as a description...moving forward, we'll probably still try to move things around like we did this time.
