Hey E.T. I hope you all have enjoyed a lovely spring weekend. It's been stormy here in our area.
We've got 10 more days to go and we're doing pretty well.
26 more claims on our main and remember...up to 10 more, depending on how Maria Jo does will go to her reads or the Pixie. So that leaves the rest of us to pick up 16 more...Should be doable:)
20 more claims are needed on the mini...a call to action for us all...let's try to have the mini 100% populated by around 4/27. We've got a captains log to write. As much information in the 'reason section' as possible will help with writing the log.
If any of you have a sentence or two you want to contribute, please go ahead and write it in.
Perhaps a title for the name of our ship...interesting character names for our crew...a peril or 2 for us to experience during our voyage...and of course an awesome ending for our voyage/experience/adventure. Feel free to add your thoughts in our thread here...or write in on the WS.

I'll just drop in a status report for myself.I'm currently reading You Killed Me First and Summer at Meadow Wood. Both are already on the spreadsheet and mini.
I have
on the spreadsheet for red 3. It isn't on the mini yet.I am hoping to fit in one additional book but it's debatable whether I'll get to it at this point. I also somehow lost my Kindle a couple of nights ago, so that's been a challenge. I didn't have much time to look yesterday with it being Easter and all. Hopefully I can find it today! The good news is, I know it is in our house.
Anyway, I hope that gives you all an idea of what I can cover.

It fell in the tiny space between the bed and the wall and was just up against the wall under the bed. So glad to have it back!
Edited to add: That's what I thought likely happened but my husband supposedly looked there for me yesterday and said it wasn't there. There are some things stored under the bed so MAYBE he just didn't see it... but also, it wasn't that hard to find.
Husbands are not good at finding things...let me tell you! teehee :)

I will finish another book today. I've currently three books in total on the spreadsheet. Unfortunately I won't be able to read more, I wish I could but so many changes happened in real life. Will check in again later today :)

Karen, would you say your book Midnight Rainbow contains someone who is a problem solver? Considering it's about spying, I'm hoping I can use it to fill Mini task 13.
Captains, regarding task 6 (Communication system) of the April mini, would a dispute over the English throne count for this task ? For context: in the book I've just finished the king dies without a male heir however his daughter Matilda makes a claim on the throne as well as her cousin Stephen of Blois which leads to a succession crisis. Let me know if it's too farfetched ;)

If you can explain a miscommunication, I think it works.
If not, an alternate might be task 22...prefer to have it fit as you've proposed...but if not, perhaps there is a pixie that will work instead. Maria Jo has a PIXIE at 22 right now. Go ahead and use that spot if you need it.
Captains - I just made some updates to what You Killed Me First works for (Hand 5). Right now, I have it as a standalone, because that was pretty much all I could tell it worked for before I started reading. I'm about halfway through now and found that it works for 5 (which I know is harder) and 4 (which it looks like we have a few of left). I mostly just wanted to draw attention to that. I'm not sure how many books we will complete to know if I should move it down or just leave it. Let me know if you'd like me to move it somewhere!

I started and finished
today. it was only 3 hours of audio and I had a lot of alone time in the car today so I got most of it done just driving. I'm not sure where to put it on the mini. I'm not sure it works for any of the open tasks, but I'll take a look and think about it a bit more too. I'll also try to come up with a list of tasks it does work for in case we can move things around.

Does this work for a 9 by chance. Pixie doesn't have a book for 9...think there is probably a 3.

Maria Jo and I have been working on filling in PIXIE books...there's a possible 1 more to fit.
We have 6 spots left to claim on the APril tab and 2 more left on the mini. One is a 9Red which neither of us can find via the Mini. If anyone has a red that will work for this, please let us know asap. The balance are common and we could move things around to make books fit that don't currently...if this is the case, feel free to add any book at the bottom of the main and we'll figure it out if needed.

I feel like that's sort of a weird mini task. I don't even know where to begin looking for something that would work for that.
I think mind-bending could be a thriller...we might have one of those or the pixie might. Dreamy...a nice HEA romance perhaps?
My brain can't take any more mind-bending work on the SS today. If any of you can figure out a 'move around' that would work, ideas are welcome!

Hi all! Just as an update, I am on track to finish the last book I have in the spreadsheet but would not be able to finish anything more as I am travelling next week.
I removed 1 of my books to allow enough time to read the red 9We have 2 spots left...5 and skip *

I just started my last planned book for the month last night. I'm still on the look out for something quick and dreamy that I could maybe do on audio too. Fortunately, I just discovered that Libby now has the option to filter by audiobook length which is fantastic. We've got a busy few days so I'll see what I can do.
We have 1 more pixie...unless Maria Jo reads another. Total of 12 books = Maria Jo + Pixie

We have a few books on the main that weren't added to the mini...so time spent on figuring out how those would work would probably be good.
Said another way...we do need 1 more book, but I don't think you have to worry about the mini if you just want to read...and there may be someone else on the team that has an extra unrecorded as well. We've 3 more days :) Read what strikes your fancy :))
I'll be updating my last one for the mini (I think!) - The Night Mark. Not sure if I'll get one more done.

I'll check back later or late tomorrow.
Remember the books for each section need to be used for that section of the log. A few books got moved around, so things may need to be realigned.
I was able to get several more books written into the log. I'll come back and look at it tomorrow if no one else has a chance before then!
I just finished a book that fit into the last Skip. I'm almost done with my Green one. I'll see if I can find another 5 book.
