Okay so basically I have this teacher who is literally a mother to me and I love her so much, and so the other day I was talking to her, and I had to go because my break was over and so I gave her a hug like I normally do and I said I love you, but she didn’t say it back. Usually when I say that she’ll say it back or she’ll be the first one to say it , but now she’s not saying it back and idk what to do I just feel so fucking stupid.

I got you!!! I have this same relationship with one of my teachers and I assure you that everything is okay. Maybe she didn’t hear you or had a bad day or her mind was in another place. If the next time you meet her she’s still acting weird (which I don’t think is probably) maybe you should ask her if there’s something wrong. You don’t need to specify, just ‘is everything okay?’ and maybe telling her that you’ve seen her acting slightly differently than usual. But I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about! :) 🫶🏻

adults have a fuckton of things on their minds and most of us extremely stressed overthinkers. there have been a lot of times where someone's said love u to me be it my parents or my friends and I haven't said it back. then if u ask if everything is okay and they still don't open up to u, then they either think u wouldn't understand their situation or they wanna deal with it on their own so its not about u, its about them. The only thing that works here is space and time. Give ur teacher that.
