Hey, guys! So I could use your help! I like writing YA fantasy, and I'd like your opinion on a few questions.
1: What things do you like most about YA fantasy and what do you want to see most in it?
2:What problems do you run into when looking for a new YA fantasy book?
3:What irritates you and why does it make you mad?
4: What would you like to see change in the industry?

1. Creative magic systems, found family, insane power plays (like in anime), when the villain is less about mindless conquest and instead truly believe they're paving the way to a greater good, crazy plot twists.

2\3. Repetitive plots, cardboard love interests (because pretty words don't equal real personality), romance overshadowing the bigger plot (because a great story doesn't necessarily need romance), and gore just for the sake of it.

4. An MC not out for revenge, a romance not built off the guy mistreating the girl, minimal plot holes, and a message to the convey.

I have to say something, how many boys are in this group, I can genuantly say that I love reading and I'm not a geek or any kind of that, but I just feel that there isn't enough boy readers, please If yoy're a boy pronounce yourself I'd love see other guys, because I feel "alone" in the art of reading, and that makes me feel really fell out.
