Ok. Here's what I came up with:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...
When the task list comes out, fill out the appropriate column for the week on the task list page. This will populate the Drop down on the Scorecard.
Individual Players can fill out the spreadsheet or post to the thread and Amanda or I can fill it out. We need the following information in the post or on the spreadsheet: Task from the drop down list and I made places for two, then enter the book, author, Pages, Complete Date and BR Link (if applicable).
Amanda or I can fill out the Message # to verify we have checked it.
Once the Point values are announced, if they are completed on the task tab, the points will automatically calculate for the
Amanda...check out hidden column R. I've made it so that it will populate the Weekly Completion Post when you copy the values out. So you unhide Column R copy out for Week 1: Rows 2 to 8 will create the header, individual completion post and a summary of points, then re-hide column R.
This can be done and it will be blank for posts, then you just need to copy the rows again in column R after the points are populated and it will fill out the points too.
We don't have to include the "Qualifies", but I added the columns and to the completion post.

Yes, please set up a thread in the Buddy Read folder. You'll need to provide a link to the buddy read when you post your team's Completion Posts.

I'm easy for names , like GISH & tell , but think there may be lots of similar names so may be best with one of the others

Based on my posts, about an hour. I started from scratch and had to guess on a lot since I'm not 100% sure what this challenge does. :)
But the formula in the hidden column I did for another challenge so that was just updating.

But since we don't know how many points will be assigned to each task, it might of course be better to cover several tasks. 🤔

Yes I read it like a week ago so too soon for me to do a reread lol. I can also sit out of the buddy read and read some of the tasks were unlikely to get to since I venture outside of romance more often than others

How to Play:
* Each team member will need to read one book each week.
* The book must match a task from that week's list.
* Books must be at least 140 pages. Audio book page length is determined by the first paper version that shows up.
How to get points:
1. Read a book for a GISH task. There will be 26 tasks each week.
You may not start reading your book before Monday morning (12:01 am, your time)
and
you must finish reading your book and report it by Sunday night (midnight, your time).
Each task gets points. The points may be higher if the task is trickier. The difficulty of the reading prompt does not reflect the points given to the task. (I did not assign the points to the tasks. That was done by GISH people.)
2. If the book you're reading fits a second GISH task, you can claim those points as well. (The connection must be obvious. If you're unsure if your book fits, check with your teammates. If you're still not confident, ask on the Q&A thread.)
3. Buddy read a book for a GISH task. This is worth 50 points.
***You can add 2 and/or 3 to the mandatory 1 for additional points.***
Team members can read the same task. Points for the previous week's tasks will be announced when everyone's Completion Posts are reported. Tasks will be posted each Friday morning.
If a team member has scheduled an absence, someone else on the team can match their book up to 4 different tasks so as not to miss points.
If someone misses two deadlines, they will be removed from the game.
Details:
*Teams will be posted Wednesday, June 5.
*There will be 8 'Weeks' to the game.
*Week 1's tasks will be posted Friday, June 7.
*The game will begin on Monday, June 10 at 12:01 a.m. (your time)
*The game will conclude Sunday, Aug 4 at 12:59 p.m. (your time)
*If your profile is set to private, you will need to open it for the duration of the game. You may need to be contacted by the head of your team and there are a few tasks where your teammates will need to see your bookshelves.
