Tough one. He would make an excellent candidate, but that would mean Sam would need to give up her career. Nick and Sam both view her job as important, so it comes down to: whose job is more important?
He will run. I don't think it is realistic with Sam's career, but that is where Force is taking the story. At this point, I don't like it too much. I would prefer that Nick remain a Senator.
The trajectory that Nick's political career is on is straight to the top - President. I agree that Force is going to write it that they both get to have their successful careers, even though that is just not reality.
I would prefer that Nick remain a Senator too. It's just so unrealistic that a person who is unknown to the public would be named as a replacement Senator, then asked to run for the seat on his own, then be asked to be VP, all within a year's time.
This entire plot thread is unrealistic given Nick's inexperience and Sam's job. It is taking the suspension of disbelief way too far.
If he does run this soon, I think we are going to be in for some very difficult reads, and I would hate to think of how much trouble the very handsome and very "frisky" Nick would be if he and Sam were separated for very much time....I hope I'm really wrong. Of course, there is Agent Hill, as well, lusting after Sam. I hope our series does not turn out to be one
marital/family disaster after another. Maybe Scotty will be a very important factor in these decisions?
