Sierra | 2 comments I don't remember any names of characters but I remember that it was about a woman who traveled back in time and she stayed with a lord who was haunted by the supposed ghost of his dead wife. I know that the woman went into a church and followed a maze type thing inside and that is how she traveled back in time. Also when she arrived in the past she had a cat that followed her around. Oh by the way when she went back she met the lord in the church and he took her to his home but they stayed in many boarding house type places.

The Last Bride by Sandra Landry seems to match your description.

She starts in New Orleans, walks a labyrinth in a French cathedral (Chartres), travels back to the Middle Ages, and a cat is mentioned a number of times. He's haunted by a vengeful ghost.

Around what year did you read this book?

By the way, Google's preview of The Last Bride is a bit longer than Amazon's:
