Review: This author does creepy really well. The underground children? *shudders*
The middle was a little slow but when it finally picked back up it stayed there. I kind of predicted the ending about the MC but I still enjoyed it. Final rating 3.5 stars rounded up

Review:
I need to read this book for something else and let's just say I was not excited to read it. It's not something I would naturally gravitate towards. It's funny because my favorite manga is pirate-based, but I'm not a fan of pirate novels. It just doesn't make sense. However, I realized that the author also wrote 'The City of Brass,' which I was hesitant to read but ended up finishing in just one day because I loved it so much. The same thing happened with this book.

Darkness if you’ve not read The Risk S.T. Abby then I would highly recommend. It’s about a serial killer that falls in love with the FBI profiler. It’s one of my favourites.

Review: I wasn’t drawn in by the first couple of chapters but once I got there I really enjoyed the story. Beck needs to get an invite to a wedding so that he can purchase the last remaining property on a street and Stella is his way in. Stella doesn’t want to go to the wedding as it’s her ex boyfriend that’s getting married to her now ex best friend. Stella only thought they were taking a break a few months ago.
A deal is done which involves Beck pretending to be Stella’s boyfriend however there is a fine line between real and pretend. Beck made Stella see how awful Matt and Karen were as people never mind what they did to her. They both brought out the best in each other and I’m glad they got their HEA.

Quick Review: This book was a little disappointing. Not a terrible book, but I just never connected with the characters and, honestly, didn't really like any of them that much. Emily was fine, Levi was kind of a jerk, Emily's sister was awful, and Levi's brothers were pretty awful too. Oh well.

Review: I am completely OBSESSED with this series. This couple.... *chef's kiss*. I relate more to Quaid and his neediness but tries to hide it mentality. Aslan has his own issues but he couldn't be more perfect for Quaid. My heart is bruised for eternity now thanks to this book. First Quaid broke my heart for his deep need to hear those 3 littlebwords from Aslan and not getting them. Then the scene where Quaid finally said them. Then that ending scene with Aslan and Torin. Ugh. 😭😭 Aslan is going to be a mess in the next book. My only complaint (and it's a small one) is that I thought the killer was blatantly obvious. Honestly though I don't feel as though the murder mystery was the focal point in this one. The relationship growth felt bigger and more important. Because of that I didn't mind that I knew the bad guy already. I can't recommend this series enough!!

Wow! Fantastic narration!! For the most part, I couldn’t put this book down. At times, it lagged a little bit. Likewise, the anti-heroine drew me in, but at times I wanted to yell at her, slap her, strangle her, and root for her. Great novel!

How it qualifies: From précis ‘After being burned by her dream job in New York City, sports journalist Neely Kimber suddenly finds herself jobless and paying a long-overdue visit to her hometown in Tennessee.’ Set in US

Review: I really enjoyed this 2nd chance romance. I’m not a huge fan of audio but sometimes it’s nice to listen and achieve other tasks. I really enjoyed the narrator for this book which definitely makes the story better.

Neely is returning to her hometown after 10 years. Shes been let down badly by her work and felt the only option was to resign. While home she helps out at a dance/gymnastic gym and helps the kids there. She is drawn to one kid in particular who just happens to belong to the man who broke her heart.

Over the book Dane and Neely strike up a friendship that progresses to flirting and moves on from there. Just when things look like they could be serious Neely is offered a better position at her old company and has to decide what the right path is for her.

I enjoyed all the characters in this story and want to read more about them in the rest of the series.

Read a book set in the country e.g. farm, ranch
For all the location/setting tasks, the book does not have to be solely set in that location; it simply needs at least one scene set there. The usual precise, main page, tag or list will need to be provided to show how the book qualifies.

In this case the following will work:
* the precis includes a reference to the country, ranch, farm etc
* the book is tagged/shelved with an appropriate reference to country, ranch, farm etc
* the book is set in the wilderness/remote areas
* the bookcover shows a country setting.

Please ask if you are not sure.
