For this, I think the AI voice is fine. I had a sample of mine done and at first, everyone thought it was pretty good/acceptable, but then listening to it again, more closely, flaws began to emerge that led me to take a pass. I found the pauses erratic and not appropriate in some cases, other times the text was read too fast. Perhaps my book has a different criteria, but I thought this was fine
I listened to this and found the voice to be very pleasant. I would be happy to listen to this book this way.
HiGood to know that you found the AI narration of one of our books to be acceptable. Of course, it's always hard to tell from a sample how an entire book will sound after several hours of listening. However, the AI beta version offered to us by amazon.com gave us the opportunity to have an audio version of 'In A Town Called Paradox', which would not otherwise have been possible.
So, we took it. It's clearly labeled as an AI narration, as it should be.

Recently, Amazon invited co-author Richard Starks and me to use a beta version of its AI narration program to produce an audio edition of our novel, 'In A Town Called Paradox'. We took Amazon up on its offer (with some reservations), and in just 15 minutes we had an audio version of our novel posted on our Amazon page.
Here's the link to the free excerpt of the audio on the 'In A Town Called Paradox' Amazon page.

What do you think of it? The narration is not perfect, but do you think it's acceptable to readers? Perhaps you'd like to post your opinion here. Thank you.
