I'm glad you liked Forty Days Without Shadow, Dan. It's still the best novel I've read so far this year.

I'm recently into thrillers set in the Scandinavia for some reason and Forty Days Without Shadow sounds especially interesting.

2. I Shall Not Want, Julia Spencer-Fleming. Mexican's are getting killed, and Russ and Clare become involved. After they sort things out, they finally get together, but then Clare is called up to active duty in Iraq. 4Plus
3. Red Moon, Benjamin Perry. Humans and Lycans live together - sort of. There are good Lycans and bad Lycans, and good Humans and bad Humans. A nice twist at the end. 4
4. Forty Days Without Shadow, Oliver Truc. Great recommendation and a very interesting book. The Norwegian tundra, shamans, and greed add up to a great read. 4Plus
5. Buck Fever, Ben Rehder. Texas hill country and trophy white tails are mixed in with crazy Columbian drug dealers in a lively scheme unraveled by game warden and his pal. 3Plus (His first book)
6. Life or Death, Michael Robotham. Another great recommendation. When a prisoner escapes after 10 years in prison with only one day left on his sentence, nobody can understand why - except for the escapee. Eventually we find out too. 4Plus
7. Endangered, C.J. Box. Joe's daughter is the victim of a serious beating, and Joe has to figure out what happened while still investigating a game violation. True to form, he destroys yet another government truck. 4
