The book you like most discussion
Do you read several books at the same time, or do you wait until you finish one to start another?

I often need to read at least 2 at a time. Because every Thursday morning I go out to the ranch. And that ride is like 45 minutes long one way. So I read a book on the way there + back. That is often equal tl 80 - 100 pages. Unless I get a chatty driver. Because some drivers want to chat. Its always random what driver you get. This Thursday the ranch was closed due to severe cold.
But i have no problem keeping the stories seperate.

Usually I read a crime novel, a regular novel, a movie book and an autobiography.

I've noticed that audio disks don't stop when you have to do something else and interrupt listening. When you return to them them on the next day, you have to listen to it all over again (there's no chapter and no fast forward either).

Read anything between 20 to 30 books at a time. Went up to 39 last year and have brought down to 21 now.
I don't read books as a profession, this has just become a habit which has intensified after going digital and especially during Covid. Having multiple books on my kindle and my phone provides easy access.
Adding ARC's to the mix (netgalley and booksirens) and rating and reviewing them has made the process enjoyable.
There are some books from favorite authors which I read at a languorous pace savoring the lines and there are other which I read in one or two sessions.
It helps keep my mind sharper tracking all the characters across multiple formats including audiobooks and hard copies.
I have been able to read more books than I was able to before suiting my moods and I read whenever I get some time.

I have tried to respond to some of the comments, but I don't know how, as this is the first time I have participated in a group. Anyway, thanks for your responses!

I usually read more than one at a time.

That's rather strange because my player will let me pick chapters and has a rewind and fast forward function. Never had that problem with CD's. Sometimes an MP3 will have a glitch and fast forward doesn't work but bookmarks solve that issue.
I usually have two books I am reading at a time, one print and one audio. Sometimes one will be non-fiction and the other fiction. Nice to mix things up.

Then, alternatively, I also stumble upon some pst readings and revise certain chapters from it such as the prince, or the laws of human nature, etc.

At the moment I have 15 on my currently-reading shelf here.
(At one time it was 40+, don't ask me WHY… I am not happy myself with it)
