So The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue will be the group read for April. I haven't heard of this one and I'm curious :)

I will have to see if I can get a copy from the library.

I'll set up the new thread over the weekend...

Yes me too! I’ve checked it out and read a few sample pages….didnt really appeal to be honest. But have reserved a copy from local library. The one and only copy available is currently out on loan. So I will be behind, but happy to give it a go. Happy Easter everyone.

Carole wrote: "Should we have a cut off point…? Otherwise, how will people know to stop nominating…? I’d suggest middle of the month..?"

I think it should be shorter, otherwise we will lose momentum. We need time for everyone to vote and then get the book.

Suggestions by Friday 5th please!
Thanks to those of you who have nominated books already :)

Yes, it was a really close call, only one vote in it. The book for May will be 'A Gentleman in Moscow' by Amor Towles. We won't start reading it until 1st May, but this should give you time to get hold of a copy.

Everyone appears to be in the mood for some fantasy/sci-fi. Not my thing tbh, however I do admire folk who can enjoy various genres!

BTW those of you reading The House in the Cerulean Sea can join in with our genre challenge this month, as it's YA! (I love it when a book fits two challenges...)

Paul Besley (165862590-paul-besley) | 123 comments The book has just arrived. looking forward to the read. I suspect it's a whole new genre for me

I'm still immersed in A Gentleman in Moscow and have my in person book club book (Salman Rushdie's Knife: Meditations After an Attempted Murder) to finish, before I can tackle The House in the Cerulean Sea. So many books, so little time... ;)
