This book is a re-read for me. I first read it in middle school and haven't read it since. I absolutely love the book series as well as all of the movies. I am looking forward to reading part of my childhood again :)

so i'm about a third of the way through the book already and i want to kick myself for not reading this again sooner!! i forgot how good it was. it brings back so many memories :)
I know what you mean, I have planned to re-read all of them, I really miss the magic on these books.
If you ever have the chance to go to Universal Studios in Orlando, FL, they've done a fabulous job with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. I was able to take my 13 yr old daughter last September. What a treat!
i'd LOVE to be able to visit there! maybe one day soon i can save up enough leave from work and money and take myself on a trip :)
I thought about adding one of these books to my banned book week...but since I don't agree with them being on the banned list, I decided to go with Alice's adventures in wonderland to see why exactly it is banned.

http://bannedbooks.world.edu/2011/08/...
It explains all the reasons it has been banned! The drug reason is on there but there are also a lot of others that I didn't know about! One of the reasons was purely because it had talking animals in it, which was the same reason some people tried to have Winnie the Pooh and Charlotte's Web banned! What is wrong with some people?!

just finished up this morning. it's crazy how you watch the movie so often and then while re-reading the book you remember just how much they left out or changed even slightly!! this is still probably my all time favorite book series to read :)
I definitely need to pick up the first Harry Potter books soon. I'm not sure I can squeeze them into the challenge, but maybe for a side read?

I just can't explain how much I love these books. I honestly think everyone should read them at least once! (even if it is just the first book to justifiably say they don't like them) lol
